The ARC Maternal and Infant Program (MIP) is a 12-bed residential treatment center in Madison, Wisconsin, dedicated to helping pregnant and postpartum women with substance use disorders. Established in 1993, MIP allows mothers to live with their infants in a safe and nurturing environment while receiving comprehensive care.

Access Comprehensive Family Support

MIP offers specialized services, including support for healthy pregnancies and births, delivery planning, and education on infant care and bonding. A dedicated Parenting Social Worker assists mothers in developing essential parenting skills. The program also provides substance use disorder assessments, intensive case management, individual and group therapy, and support for medication-assisted treatment. Continuing care planning ensures a successful transition back into the community.

Experience Supportive Community Care

The program serves women aged 18 and older, referred by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, BadgerCare (Medicaid), or county human services departments. All services are provided at no cost to participants, with primary funding from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, BadgerCare (Medicaid), and the Dane County Department of Human Services. MIP is licensed as a community-based residential facility and certified for substance use disorder treatment, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
