Capstone Treatment Center is a top-rated treatment center and behavioral care program in the beautiful Ozark foothills of Arkansas. Capstone helps families and young adults ages 14-26 struggling with addiction and destructive behaviors. Their expertise focuses on multiple addictions and co-occurring disorders such as ADHD/ADD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self harm, pornography, trauma, loneliness, attachment issues, and family conflict. Capstone is a faith-based treatment center and says that “Capstone is truly a Christian treatment center, but one that has a level of professional excellence and expertise that is second to none. Every aspect of Capstone reflects Jesus Christ, but He is never forced on anyone. It is not a church camp, but instead it’s a place where kids are loved, believed in, worked with and fought for.”

The 90-day residential program is divided into four phases, each of which includes non-medical detox, daily group therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), 12-Step facilitation, canine therapy, and 3 one-on-one sessions per week. When arriving at Capstone, a puppy is waiting for each client. During the middle of the day, before or after lunch, clients have “Puppy Time,” which is canine therapy time aimed at one-on-one bonding with their pups to aid in recovery. Canine therapy assists those who are struggling with depression or have been subjected to physical or sexual abuse in learning to trust and feel safe. Clients attach and grow with their puppies, and they are allowed to take them home because they have soon become a family member.

Capstone Treatment Center has 4,000 square feet of cabin-like lodging. Clients can enjoy a state-of-the-art exercise facility, a ropes course, and an on-site disc golf course. Capstone Treatment Center provides a caring staff complete with unique therapies. Capstone is accredited by CARF and is private pay only.

We are so grateful for the the therapists and program at Capstone Treatment Center. Our son is 18 so it had to be voluntary for him to go there. I think the idea of caring for a puppy and bringing home a dog was a big part of his decision to go. The program itself is Christian based and at a very high level of excellence. We were able to work together as a family to address underlying issues that were at the root of the problems. In my opinion the value of the program is far greater than the charges. Individual therapy can be upwards of $150/hr and group therapy $90/hr. My son was in individual, group or family therapy for over 15 hours a week. In addition to therapy there is a high level of staffing for safety and the cost of food, housing, etc. His AKC labrador puppy itself is probably a $2000 dog. I understand the cost is high but, if you could, what wouldn't you pay to help your child? I would highly recommend this program to any family that is struggling with deep behavioral or addiction issues.

Do you appreciate Christian integrity? Capstone is for your son! Our son was in the 90-day program at Capstone: in fact, he was one of the clients that had to stay an extra week due to a consequence related to his behavior. This program is absolutely one of the best programs in the nation. Our son had a young female therapist that demonstrated professionalism, solid boundaries, excellent counseling skills, trustworthiness, and dependable communication from the start to finish of our son's program. The head of this organization, Adrian, is an experienced counseling professional himself and he understands how important education for the family and the client is, as well as getting to the trauma that causes each of us to numb ourselves with other addictive behaviors. The Parent week allows your son and the parents to form a very deep and spiritual place to be honest and transparent and to understand the deeper issues that have brought the family to a place for needed inner healing and a plan to come out of the unhealthy patterns that are affecting the whole family. We did not find one staff member in this program that did not exemplify strong character, genuine caring, and respect for our family. The professional staff is trained extensively in trauma healing, substance abuse, EMDR, addictions, and all of the staff are licenses professional/and or marriage and family counselors in the state of Arkansas. In addition, Capstone works diligently (thanks to Jordan and the therapist assigned) to support each family with existing insurance. There is also a nonprofit organization that gives scholarship money to help with the expense of the program that is listed on the website and we applied for this support. Our son left Capstone with a new chance in life. In fact, he was baptized while there at his request. We wholeheartedly recommend Capstone Treatment Center. It is organized and it is focused on building boundaries and establishing healthy habits that can move a young man to a place to begin healing. It is a Christian treatment center that "walks the walk, not just "talks the talk." I am appreciative of that, having graduated from seminary and having served as a minister for many years. We will eternally be thankful to the God of love for using Capstone as the vehicle of transformation for our son to heal.

Our son graduated from Capstone in 2017. We've been back twice for continuing care and they are improving the program and facilities all the time. The founder, therapists and staff are all very professional, well trained, and they care deeply about the job they're doing and the families they serve. The staff to client ratio is as advertised. Safety is taken very seriously. We recommend it highly.

We will be forever grateful for Capstone. In a time of need we needed to find a place for our struggling son after exhausting everything we could think of to help him. Capstone helped our son in a way we could not and helped our family as a whole in the same way. We are now part of the Capstone family and have attended two reunions as our son is closing in on his two years of sobriety post graduation from Capstone. Capstone has blessed our family and our son beyond measure with their love and expertise. They are truly gifted in what they do with love and expertise in all areas at Capstone.
