Testimonial
I am grateful to Caron for helping my family find sobriety for our son. My son is now 100 Days into the program and he’s made progress and so has our family. We are stronger and better than before. We have the tools to survive this and deal with all that comes with having a child with substance issues. We tried many other programs but only at Caron did we finally find the solace and path we needed. Forever grateful.

Caron saved my life. The care I received while the was compassionate, kind, loving and tough - which is exactly what I needed The staff; from admissions to the counselors, the counselor assistants, the kitchen servers and drivers; is by far the best and from what I witnessed, each loved working for Caron.. Caron gave me the tools to build a solid foundation . These tools are key to my recovery and I utilize them each and every day. Yes, they are expensive, but I totally got what I paid for and then some. They do offer scholarships to those in financial need - you just have to ask, After care and alumni relations are top notch. I would recommend Caron to anyone who needs help and asks.

If I had to rate Caron on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 the best), I would give Caron a 9, as few things in life are perfect. My 26 year old son went there a few months ago and this was not his "first rodeo", so we've had some experience with other rehabs. Caron was far and away the best in every way so we are hoping this might be his "last rodeo". The Family Education Program spanned several days and we were so impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of all the speakers. We learned so much more about the "science" of addiction and that gave us a much better understanding of our son's struggles. Caron is first rate in every respect from the caring counselors to the wonderful cafeteria. My very thin son put on 20 very needed pounds and raved about the food. Caron was a very safe environment and I know my son received the very best care possible. Only a few months out and he is doing very well and attributes it to his time at Caron. I do not think we could have asked for any more help than he got at Caron. With our deepest gratitude, the Day Family.

Review from Rehabs.com

Loved Caron. Loved the therapists, staff, all the help, the drivers, the whole gang. It was the pivotal point in my life. Been sober, LORD willing, one day at a time, 28 years this year. When I arrived on prescribed benzodiazepines and booze, I was a mess. They worked with me patiently, gently and with humor. It is not easy to face myself, but the staff had gone through what they recommended we do, and made honesty the true friend it must become to achieve and maintain a healthy way to live without using drugs/alcohol/people/sex/food/t.v./work/romance etc. There was no way I could have begun to embrace that type of lifestyle without tons of support and love I found there and afterwards where others gather to share our experiences, our strength, our hopes, who we really are! I begged GOD to help me not to drink daily. I begged GOD to help me to drive home from work without drinking. I could not do it consistently. Only occasionally. I knew GOD had to be very upset with me or HE would answer me and take the compulsion to drink away. (HE had done so years before.) Since treatment, HE has made it possible for me to do that for many years and I'm grateful. I used the tools CARON gave me. I really did, quite certain initially, they wouldn't help. But, they did help. The tools and my new friends made all the difference. I wasn't alone, anymore. I found many others who KNEW exactly how I felt: the insecurities, the competitiveness, the merciless way I treated myself, on and on. "Extra" testing might be exactly what is needed for some. I was dx with ADHD shortly after treatment and it has been a lifesaver for me, personally, as well. I have sleep apnea, too, and have been learning that treatment for it can make a big difference. If we put sobriety first, I too believe our loving Dad makes a way for us that truly is beyond our wildest dreams. I think CARON is very dedicated to reaching the person still suffering. Everyone is human and organizations are only as good as the people who serve. GOD help CARON and everyone who attends there or any other facility as they seek to treat and to recover from the oppression of addiction.

Review from Rehabs.com

The Caron Foundation was a horrible choice for a prescription drug (benzo) addiction. Admission staff misrepresented how withdrawal would be managed comfortably, staff were unable to manage withdrawal side effects, and the attending refused to contact my physician for guidance with meds. The physician at Caron did not listen when I told him that the meds he was using would not work for me, and I was ignored. I was unable to sleep my entire time at Caron and had to leave to get proper medical and withdrawal care elsewhere. Staff was cruel during the night when I could not sleep. My so-called therapist was on vacation, and I needed support which I did not receive. No one should be withdrawn from a benzo in two weeks time. I have learned quite a bit since my admission, and Caron was an ineffective and harmful place. It caused me PTS, and it is no place for an adult recovering from cancer and a resulting prescription drug addiction that a physician caused. Please note, I have not touched a benzo since, even thought my doctors are okay with it. Not everyone is an addict, treatment should be individualized, nor should all patients be treated the same with a "cookie cutter" approach. I cannot recommend Caron. I almost lost my life because of how poorly they treated me both medically and emotionally. Please check more than one place and get more than one opinion before admitting yourself into a rehab like Caron. This was my mistake, and I learned after the fact, that my withdrawal did not have to feel like torture and cause trauma.
