Provider's Policy

Casa Palmera is in network with most major insurance carriers but also works well with insurance plans on an out of network basis.

Just a 10 minute drive from the beach, Casa Palmera is a treatment center that works to help those struggling with substance abuse disorder and co-occurring disorders. Their team of M.D. psychiatrists are available 24/7 to ensure the best care for their patients. Casa Palmera follows a 12-Step program and incorporates relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and emotional freedom techniques (EFT). They additionally have holistic methods in their treatment plan, and some of these include restorative yoga, a ropes course, art therapy, and nature walks. They also offer intensive outpatient (IOP) and a Day Treatment (PHP). Casa Palmera is currently in the process of building their Neurocenter to work more with the neuroscience behind addiction, and this center will include transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

When first coming to Casa Palmera, their staff conducts some assessments of physical and mental health to create an individualized care plan. They then create a program based on what they call the four elements of overall health and recovery: medical and physiological health, lifestyle, mind-body health, and environment. They designed their center with the environmental aspect in mind, providing high quality accommodations and idyllic outdoor space to create total relaxation. Casa Palmera also has a strong alumni network with regular meetings. They are accredited by The Joint Commission and accept many types of private insurance.

Anxiety

They treated my 24 yr old daughter like a criminal. Destroyed her mediction they asked her to bring without letting her know until she was released. COO Heather humilated my daughter in front of all the nurses. They put her on medication that could have killed her due to a medical condition. The Dr would not speak to me nor did her therapist and nurses even though they had a signed release to speak with me. When I would call the nurses would pick up the phone and hange up immediately without even knowing who was calling. My daughter was there for mental health not substance abuse; they assured me she would be in the mental health program which was a lie. I transferred her to a different facility after 8 days.

Review from Rehabs.com

The place is very nice inside an very clean. The massage, holistic therapy, gym, bedrooms, food, and common areas are really nice. It is a safe place and the other residents were great. Two therapist were amazing and did a great job. The nursing staff is short staffed and always mixed up with your meds or dr appts or things you need. ... Most of the other staff running meetings are not DR and are not qualified. They were nice but they didn't help. Many times we were told the person didn't show an we were to meditate or do step work. At that price they should have staff. If you complain they make it out that your trying to run things or it is your disease an they don't take the blame. I wouldn't pay up front for the month.
