Review from Rehabs.com

I unfortunately have been a in and out of treatment centers, Jail and addicted to drugs and alcohol since I was 19 years old. I considered myself a lost cause before I entered the Charleston Recovery Center. I had pretty much giving up on life and made the decision that I was just going to end it. I was physically dependent on drugs and alcohol and realized that I couldn’t stop drinking and using on my own. A dear friend of mine talked me into entering this treatment center. I didn’t think it was going to work but thought let’s give the treatment thing one last shot. I flew from Boston to Charleston. I was picked up at the airport by Martin and Jeremy (staff members) two men I didn’t know from a hole in the wall, they told me that everything was going to be ok and drove to Charleston Recovery Center. I was very beaten down and broken really didn’t know if another “rehab” was going to work for me. Pulling up to the I was greeted by all the staff and the residents, they told me I was in a good place, that they loved me and everything was going to be ok. It was really confusing hard for me to hear people say that they loved me because I didn’t think I deserved love and I definitely didn’t love myself. But after a month of following some directions they gave me and learning things about myself I never knew, I started to love myself and realized that this place is so much more than a rehab. It’s a family. They took me in when no one else would and built me back up. They taught me that all my problems were fully self induced and that it was ok, that I wasn’t a bad person I was just sick and needed help and taught me how to put my pride and my ego to the side and be willing to accept help. I will forever be grateful for Charleston Recovery Center not only has it saved my life but it has giving me the tools to help other people who suffer from the disease of addiction and that’s what it’s all about. I will be forever grateful for the Charleston Recovery Center. It gave children their father back, my siblings their brother back and my parents their son back. This place will always have a spot in my heart.

Review from Rehabs.com

Bottom line, I am now sober and haven't even had an urge to drink since finishing the Charleston Recovery Center's program. I used to be an all day drinker...sneaking around & hiding my drinking at work and at home. CRC obviously taught me about A.A. and the 12 steps, but I also learned more about myself than I every imagined and how to better face life on a daily basis. I discovered true happiness and inner peace. The staff and fellowship, which I now call family and the best of friends, are absolutely remarkable.

Review from Rehabs.com

Charleston Recovery Center (Ashley Hope) gave me my life back. Prior to deciding where to go, I tried to research and check out as many facilities as I could. I thankfully picked Ashley Hope after reading the reviews and seeing the impact it had made in so many peoples lives. Although I had been in and out of AA for many years, something just hadn't clicked. Upon my arrival to the "HOPE", I immediately was accepted and welcomed with open arms. I was still in denial and had in my mind I would commit to 30 days at the most. After the first week, there was so much good already starting to happen, there no way I was leaving before my 90 days was up. I didn't know exactly what was going on but I didn't want it to stop. I was told the first day to forget EVERYTHING I thought I knew about AA and start following simple directions. I did what was asked and the miracle started to happen. The way the program and information was presented was like nothing I had ever heard of or experienced before. By doing what I was told, working the 12 steps of AA, and relying on my Higher Power, I have without a doubt found a new life of happiness, serenity, and a new design for living. Thank yout o the entire staff for giving me my life back.

Review from Rehabs.com

I attended CRC’s 90 day program for alcohol addiction, and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Going in, I thought a 90-Day program was excessive and not necessary. I couldn’t have been more wrong. In 3 months I learned more about myself than I thought possible, along with and the coping skills required to live a happy, healthy, and full life sober. Both the staff and residents were extremely well invested in my recovery and helped me get comfortable from the onset, and as time passed I was challenged to mature as a person and help other residents, which was a vital step in both my recovery and in reintegrating back into society. I’m indebted to the opportunity CRC gave me and would recommend it to anyone struggling with alcohol or drug addiction.

I was in residential inpatient here for 8 months. I was an IV Fentanyl addict. This place taught me what was wrong and how to change my life. I will be celebrating 2 years sober this Saturday! CRC and the people in it saved my life.
