Provider's Policy

We are able to offer insurance options with several providers.

Harmony Recovery was founded in 1969 by a group of men that wanted to help others who were struggling with alcoholism. Since then, Harmony Recovery has expanded and is nestled on 43 acres of land in the Rocky Mountains just outside Estes Park, Colorado. Harmony Recovery offers residential treatment programs, medical evaluation and detox, recovery support groups and programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and a family program for men, women, and young adults. Therapies used during these programs are evidence-based, bio-psycho-social, and include 12-step facilitation. The residential treatment program is gender-specific, with men and women living and receiving treatment in separate facilities. The primary therapy is group based, and clients can attend group sessions in the mornings as afternoons are set aside for educational offerings and weekly meetings with primary therapists.

Quality Care from a Trusted Non-Profit

Harmony Recovery is accredited by CARF. They accept most insurance providers, including Medicaid and are in-network with most companies. Harmony Recovery is a non-profit organization and receives donations for a scholarship fund to help with some of the costs of admission. Harmony takes pride in adapting to the social and moral trends within the recovery community. Through evidence-based care, Harmony aims to provide clients with the tools needed for ongoing recovery.

Recover in a Calming Mountain Setting

Harmony Recovery is set in the Rocky Mountains and has a modern cabin vibe. They provide shared gender-specific accommodations for men and women. The clients have access to many hiking trails and walking trails. Harmony Recovery is LGBTQ+ friendly and has special groups and meetings. They have an on-site kitchen staff that prepares 3 meals a day and can accommodate nutritional needs. The maximum occupancy is 80 beds. Harmony's setting plays a role in the recovery process, allowing for renewal and grounding to help clients learn to rely on the strength that comes from surrender.

No one can make you get sober and stay sober. At Harmony I was gifted the tools to do so long term. Ultimately, its still up to me, everyday. I choose to stay connected via the numerous alumni offerings. Spiritual location and staff living a purpose

Harmony is a self-serving 12 step based program that just happens to be in a lovely setting. Don't expect to see a doctor before 10 days or have your medication plan explained to you without pressing the MD because the nurses are unlikely to know the plan, let alone the medications. There is preferential treatment if you are on the "good" list, but if you are an advocate for yourself, expect to get multiple roommates during your stay, a crappy cabin and attitude from the medical staff. If you stay for more than two weeks, you will start to hear the same staff stories and do the same exercises in you have already done in different groups. It's not all bad, but becomes very redundant and turns into groundhogs day.

I feel my loved one did receive good treatment, however it did not seem to be personalized for his particular needs.Strengths: Long term experience with addiction, great location, access to outdoors, good food, strong therapists. Weakness:Cost

Allowed the family to be involved in the treatment plan and was also very accommodating on visitation days to allow additional family to visit. None that I can think of except for there wasn't a lot of parking around the facility. My niece went there for addiction to pain killers. Thanks to the harmony foundation she has remained drug free, has lost weight and is back in college. I just really liked how the family was included in the treatment plan which helped us to continue to keep providing the support she needed to continue the recovery process after she left the facility.

Beautiful facility with comfortable accommodations, and a variety of daily activities. Healthy meals are provided, and a good atmosphere to get your life in order. Would have preferred a stinger push for family counseling, but each patient and their family history is different. They focus on the root issue and why the dependency developed in the first place. How to create a healthy lifestyle, and what your new lifestyle needs to look like to avoid the substances that got you here in the first place.

We love hearing about your treatment experience
