The absolute worst place to get help. The detox was terrifying. It literally took them 10 hours to give me medication. The house was filthy. Blood on mattress cover, tooth under a bed, couch was stinky/filthy. Food-bad. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!

I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to "Hope by the Sea". I went there at my lowest point and have thrived since returning to normal life. The housing is awesome (you can prepare you own food from endless supplies), the staff is extremely helpful and fair, and I at least came away feeling like I was truly important to them at least at some level. Therapy was the best I have ever encountered. If you struggle with substance abuse & are truly seeking help I strongly encourage you to talk to these folks.
