Located on a peaceful 40 acre campus just outside Philadelphia, Eagleville Hospital offers a chance to begin again. For over 100 years, this nonprofit treatment center has helped adults facing substance use, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders take the first steps toward healing. With a dedicated team of physicians, psychologists, nurses, and recovery specialists, Eagleville ensures each person is met with dignity, compassion, and support—day or night. Around-the-clock admissions mean help is always available, especially for those who need it most. Priority consideration is given to individuals who use injection drugs, veterans, and those who have survived an overdose.

Personalized Paths to Recovery

Eagleville's approach to treatment is as unique as the person receiving it. From medically supervised detox and psychiatric care to long-term residential programs, every plan is thoughtfully designed. Evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) are paired with 12-step recovery-based programs and a range of supportive services. Patients may find strength in peer groups, job training, or even quiet moments in art or music therapy. Gardening, fitness classes, and walks around the campus offer time for reflection and renewal.

Rebuilding Life, One Step at a Time

Recovery isn’t rushed here. It’s guided, one step at a time—with patience, structure, and heart. Whether someone is beginning their journey or starting over once more, Eagleville offers a place where healing happens and no one walks the road alone.

Review from Rehabs.com

I was just in this rehab and it is so understaffed it's not funny. Most of the time we would have no sort of technician that is supposed to be watching over us at the front desk and there to help give out supplies if and when we need it we waited one day for over 6 hours for a nurse in the morning time and then we waited the same day for another nurse for over 4 hours in the evening a lady that I was in there with stopped breathing they had to call an ambulance and they never notified her family you're supposed to get one-on-one therapy time and I never received one in the 56 days that I was there my one-on-one therapy time was what they considered your review date where you go in and talk to your counselor about the progress that you're making and my counselor was out for like 3 weeks while I was there. I've never been to rehab before and I wish I would have had a better experience

Overall program was excellent. Staff was exceptionally competent and very empathetic. Medical treatment was superb. For an institution, food was very delicious, courteously served, nutritious and generously supplied. I have been sober for 739 days-- it worked for me.

Case managers ... were wonderful in my daughter's discharge planning. [Staff member] especially was very knowledgable and empathetic. I have seen other facilities with posh surroundings, but posh surroundings do not get the job done. In speaking with my daughter she states the therapy was excellent and she has learned some valuable tools. She is just beginning her journey and she has a good start.
