Review from Rehabs.com

After receiving care at the intermountain hospital psych unit. I've vowed I would never go back there again. They lacked The ability to handle my med management quickly, only making things worse. The environment look more like a homeless shelter then a hospital. As did many of the employees. When they sent in people for therapy groups , I knew far more than they did. The loud, smoke-filled, foul mouthed, environment is exactly opposite of what I needed. I also have many medical issues for which they had no idea how to care for. I was finally transferred from the adult unit to the generations unit where they could handle my medical better. It was like going from heck to heaven. I'm grateful for generations unit. But under no circumstances when I return to that adult unit at all costs.

Good counsellors available. Very clean. Lots of activities. Too expensive. Most doctors are not accessible. No follow up treatment after discharge. Medications are prescribed without follow up to see if they're working or if they are affordable.
