Testimonial
Legacy Recovery Center was an incredibly positive experience for me. I could only find a handful of facilities in the country offering general mental health services (for anxiety, depression, burnout). The staff is wonderful! Everyone from the techs, the therapists, and Richard, the owner, is so caring and compassionate. Definitely their greatest asset.

I went to Legacy at the end of 2024. I had researched and read their website, trying to choose a good treatment center. One pro is that the vast majority of the people who worked there did truly care about the clients. However, the website was extremely misleading. According to the website, their clinical director was a nationally recognized expert on trauma. Another clinician was also lauded as well. However, upon arrival, neither of those therapists even worked there anymore. And, just during the four weeks that I was there, they went through three different clinical therapists. Although their website boasts a "robust therapeutic team," there were only 10 hours a week of group therapy led by a licensed therapist. The rest of the groups were mostly led by mental health techs. The techs did their absolute best, and I don't fault them. However, they are not qualified to be leading therapy groups. Their website featured two psychiatrists, but I only saw one of them one time over a zoom call. Despite individualized treatment being advertised on the website, each client had the exact same assignments, and everyone attended the exact same groups. One of the most egregious problems I encountered at Legacy was that my therapist made several HIPAA violations, sharing my personal, clinical information with someone that they were not authorized to share with. Fortunately, Shea and Angel (Mental health techs) were both amazing, caring, and compassionate people I could talk to.

Depression
Legacy Recovery Center was one of only a handful of facilities I found in the country for general mental health needs (depression, anxiety, burnout). In my desperation I took a chance and I don’t regret it! The treatment I received gave me a new perspective on my life and my needs. With that being said, no facility is perfect and you only get out of rehab what YOU put in to it. Pros: The staff is phenomenal! By far their greatest asset. Everyone at Legacy is so caring and compassionate. Richard, the owner, shared his story with us and is so passionate about helping others through their recovery. They hired a new Clinical Director, Tanja, during my time there who is making wonderful changes with the program. She and the other new therapist, Sherri, are amazing! Their collective experience is the facility’s greatest strength. The house is comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed. Cons: They’re still young and working out kinks in the program but they welcome feedback. Just make any staff member aware of a need and they will do their best to accommodate. While I thoroughly enjoyed the group therapy sessions, sometimes I just needed to turn my brain off. I wish they had a wider variety of therapeutic activities to offer for group time. Household amenities are very basic. Nicer housewares and attention to details would make the stay even more comfortable (i.e. better cookware, nicer linens, etc). I am so grateful for Legacy and the help and care I received. Needed more guidance for physical fitness. Yoga was only once a week and the personal trainer only came once a week. I had hoped guidance in physical activities would have been offered every day. While the structure for meals was very flexible (all meals are help yourself based on grocery orders made by patients to collectively) I felt as a place of wellness, nutrition should have been addressed instead of enabling poor diets and eating habits. For the cost of the program, and being a rehab center, a cook should have been there at least for breakfast and lunch.

We love hearing about your treatment experience
