My journey has come full circle! Here I am now, a family interventionist after spending the last 18 years living with my intention. I am so grateful. All the glory to God. Today was outstanding! My visit to my Alma Mater, Lifeskills, where I spent 90 days in treatment in 2007 (3rd time's the charm 😀) evaluating the mess I was in was nostalgic, warm, fuzzy and fun!!! I was totally plugged in to, "How the hell am I going to get my life back on track?" My kids motivated me to fight this battle no matter what it was going to take. What an amazing journey of self-discovery it's been for the last 18 years of my life.My choice to my check myself into treatment in 2005 was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Kasey Stark, MSW, CAP , I appreciate your support and friendship so much. You are the best! Lifeskills South Florida I'm a testimony of how incredible this facility is! I highly recommend them for your loved ones. I love seeing their growth through the years. Not only did I visit their Deerfield location, but I was lucky enough to tour their brand new Fort Lauderdale location as well. It's so impressive to see their full continuum of care, genuine love, and support they have for their clients and staff. Trust is everything, and they bring it to the table! I really enjoyed my time visiting with the clinical team and staff as well as seeing your brand new location! Thank you, Kasey!

Review from Rehabs.com

My 22 year old son, who is severely mentally ill and addicted to drugs, had a really rough spell this year. He had been in about eight psychiatric hospitals over a period of three months, and had been unable to be stable enough to stay in several other treatment facilities, even though they were primary mental health. In other words, he was in really rough shape. He was dealing with some violent behaviors due to his mental illness, hallucinations, total lack of impulse control, etc. We finally found Lifeskills South Florida, and it was such a wonderful place for him. They were more equipped to deal with his mental illness than any other place he's ever been, and I am so relieved to know that they are there in case he ever needs to return in the future. So many places that call themselves "dual-diagnosis" don't have a clue, but Lifeskills South Florida knows what they're doing, and does it in a compassionate and professional way. I am so appreciative for them! Thank you, Lifeskills!

Review from Rehabs.com

As a licensed mental health professional I feel extremely blessed to have Lifeskills South Florida nearby. I am able to refer my clients that need more help than i can offer and they are hopeful once they receive the treatment from Lifeskills. No matter how complex the case i feel very secure that the staff and the leadership at Lifeskills will be able to assist. Again, I am so very appreciative of the hard work and the great work that goes on there.
