Metamorphosis helped me change my life! When I got there I was in such bad shape from my alcohol addiction my life was unmanageable. I received more help there in my first 6 days than I had gotten in Ontario's public health system in decades. They helped me work through my PTSD with Doctor's, Psychiatrist's, Psyco-therapist's and there own addiction counsellor's. I no longer feel trapped in my own mind and body, I no longer live my life with alcohol in it. Each and every staff member made me feel at home and welcome and were always there to help me when I needed it. The owner's Frank and Chris also take a genuine interest in all their clients well being. The food was absolutely amazing all the kitchen staff were great! The house was always clean. It is in a beautiful location so close to the beach, our walks on the beach were always so peaceful. I truly can't say enough good things about this place it was amazing!Trevor N.

My experience at Metamorphosis has change my life. You will not only battle your addiction in a safe way, but you create a trusting family like no other. The care here is life-lasting. I am so thankful to have had to opportunity to attend Metamorphosis and be part of their family. This place truly saved my life when I was inch’s away from giving up and hitting my bottom. After trying and trying for years to get help or even quitting on my own like we all think we can eventually do, so I decided to seek further help and I finally feel like myself again.Frank and Chris, the owners of metamorphosis have the biggest hearts out there. They are always on site and overseeing the centre. They provide an amazing atmosphere where clients are comfortable and can be themselves. They not only manage the facility but care for the clients and get to know them, where they as well provide support and guidance for recovery. They made it possible for me to see there are positives in life and provide the tools for myself and all clients to conquer their addiction or illness whatever it may be, and prepare them for their future goals and success’s.My primary councillor was Rick, I can honestly say this guy is one of the most kind hearted, smartest, professional and knowledgeable councillor I’ve even had the opportunity to work with as. He says it how it is, and the foundation for his teaching is from the heart. I can’t put into word how much Rick has help me/saved my life. He gave me hope for myself and the confidence that I needed/was lacking. I know I will always have his support no matter what my situation is. I can always call him wherever I am no matter the time and situation he will be there, as the other councillors are with their clients.Another counsellor Vicky, she took me in when I fist arrived to metamorphosis constantly wanting to turn around. She grabbed me and said “You’re going to be just fine, you’re going to do this no matter what it takes, we’ve got you know.”

I wanted to write this review. It was important for me to let other parents and families know there is hope out there for our family member/loved one – are they in crisis or suffering with their addiction? They - Metamorphosis are people who care and can make a difference in your loved one’s life and yours, give Frank a call and take the first step. I highly recommend Metamorphosis Centre for safe, supported recovery for your family member/loved one. My communication with my family member has improved and they have been taking on more responsibilities in their life, I feel they are living in our world now, have more connection to me and others. I was looking for a treatment centre for a family member, and I was referred to Metamorphosis Centre, I called the centre and was able to speak to Frank. Frank was able to answer my all questions regarding Covid, the facility’s treatment therapy, housing, and food. I felt confident that my Family Member (FM) would be safe and supported. There is a support network in place, Rick Clement was my FM’s primary counsellor and he called me bi-weekly and also called 2 other direct family to give them updates on how our FM was doing so we would all be on the same page for support and recovery. He spoke openly and honestly with me about my FM. We talked about their exit strategy and reintegration plan. I look forward to talking with Rick, he gives me faith/positivity in me and my FM’s future. I was given 4 one-hour zoom meetings, one-on-one counselling with Megan Phillips, Registered Psychotherapist. She gave me support to be able to support my FM. We talked about when my FM came home to introduce healthy routines, including having 3 meals a week together; a food service to help with meal planning; giving them responsibilities and encourage their contribution to the family. Megan gave me referrals to books in order understand my FM’s behavior. I wanted/needed to give my FM purpose and meaning to reconnect us/our family.

Opioids
I dropped my son off at Metamorphosis of February 2,2022. He was a totally broken man. Ten years of opioid addiction had left him a shell of what he was after many failed attempts. I picked him up 45 days later. He was a totally different man. Not only had he put on 40lbs, he was a new person. He left with not only the tools to manage his life, but a real plan to maintain his sobriety. He has followed that plan to a T, and it's lead to him thriving in his new life. Yes, his new life, he threw away his old life and started over. All new friends, new career and new lifestyle. Our son has been clean and sober for one year as of today. He will receive his one year sober medallion on Saturday at NA. He will graduate from school in September and become and addition therapist. I thank everyone at Metamorphosis from all the help in not only getting my son clean and sober, but for giving his the plan and tools to maintain it for one year and counting.
