With a mission to connect patients to mental health services in Frisco, Texas, Connections Wellness Group is located in the medical plaza near the busy intersection at FM 423 and Lebanon Road. Connections Wellness Group is a 2024 Living Magazine Readers’ Choice winner in the ‘psychologist’ category. The center aims to provide affordable and accessible mental health treatment with comprehensive services but without long waitlists. They offer accelerated outpatient therapy services, group therapy, expressive therapies, family support, case management, aftercare planning, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management. They also offer private practice for psychiatry and counseling and adult partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. Therapy, psychiatry, and medication management appointments are available both in-person and via telehealth while the PHP and IOPs are available in-person only.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Connections Wellness Group Frisco offers an IOP for adult mental health and a separate IOP for adults with a dual diagnosis of substance use disorder and another mental health concern. The IOP typically consists of 3 hours of group therapy per day that includes process groups, psychoeducational groups, experiential groups, and nursing groups. In addition, individuals will receive medication management and medication education. The program is typically 4-6 weeks long and at the end of treatment, clinical staff will collaborate with patients on an aftercare plan.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The center offers a PHP for adult mental health and a separate PHP for adults with a dual diagnosis of substance use disorder and another mental health concern. Each group meets 5 days a week for 4 hours at a time. The PHP consists of process groups, psychoeducation groups, and experiential groups. Individuals can receive a psychiatric evaluation, medication management, nursing evaluations, medication education, and family consultation through the PHP.
