Insurance

Provider's Policy

Evolve works with most private insurance companies on an in-network and out-of-network basis. We talk to your insurance provider and advocate for you to maximize your benefits at every level of care. For BlueCross BlueShield, we accept Anthem, Premera Blue Cross, and Blue Shield of California.

Evolve offers specialized care for adolescents and teens ages 12-17 throughout several residential and outpatient locations in the Los Angeles, San Diego, and Bay Area. The outpatient services at their Danville location include a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) offering personally tailored treatment for mental health, addiction, or co-occurring disorders.

Structured Outpatient Treatment

Their dual-diagnosis outpatient programs are best suited for adolescents in need of significant clinical support to maintain stability who do not require 24/7 supervision. Teens who are experiencing disrupted daily lives due to suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or substance abuse, whose condition does not require medical attention, are offered solution-focused and evidence-based care tailored to their specific treatment needs.

PHP consists of a hybrid structure that provides the highest level of care available that still allows teens to remain living at home. Individuals in PHP receive 1 individual psychiatry session and 2 individual therapy sessions per week in addition to 1 family therapy session and 1 multi-family therapy session. Patients typically attend PHP for 6 hours per day, 5 days per week while participating in several group therapy sessions daily, with 2 hours per day dedicated to working on individualized schoolwork.

IOP, also known as their afterschool program, provides a similar structure with lesser hours of treatment per week. IOP at Evolve gives teens and their families access to the structure and care they need without taking them away from school or other outside responsibilities. Teens in IOP receive guidance and coping skills in a supportive environment with peers through individual and group therapy in addition to educational workshops. IOP typically involves 2 psychiatry sessions per month with medication management services as needed, along with 1 individual, 1 family, and 1 multi-family therapy sessions per week.

Both outpatient programs provide holistic and comprehensive care from professional and experienced staff members in a structured environment.

Evidence-Based Care

Evolve specializes in evidence-based methods for mental health and addiction such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Their curriculum closely adheres to the structure and teaching methods developed by the founder of DBT, and patients participate in 1 90-minute DBT skills training group on a weekly basis. In addition to evidence-based methods, experiential therapy groups help teens learn healthy ways to express themselves with methods such as art or music therapy.

Other treatment methods used for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders include seeking safety, relapse prevention, anger management, meditation, and life skills.

Family therapy and family support groups are also part of the comprehensive treatment offered at Evolve, enabling family members to be an involved part of the treatment process and collaborate with care providers.

Evolve are Joint Commission and CARF Accredited facilities, and accept most major insurances.
