Set in Fort Lauderdale, this outpatient center sits among sunny beaches and winding canals, creating a refreshing backdrop for change. The program offers day or night partial hospitalization (PHP) with community housing and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) designed for individuals seeking support from substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Safe Residences with Transportation to Treatment Campus

The IOP program typically includes about nine hours of groups each week plus a weekly individual session, with plans that often run 30 to 180 days based on progress. Men and women’s residences are separate for focus and safety, with staff transportation to the clinical campus.

Holistic Care Blends Therapies and Wellness

The center follows a holistic approach combining evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art and equine therapy, and medication management. Life skills and wellness activities, including psychodrama, yoga, meditation, anger and stress management, nutrition support, and family counseling, helps turn new insights into daily habits. For opioid use disorder, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) includes FDA-approved options paired with counseling to support stability and reduce cravings.

Certified Counselors Offer Daily Skill Coaching

Clients meet one-on-one with licensed therapists, work daily with certified counselors, join peer groups, and attend weekly outside 12-Step meetings. Families are invited to learn and participate, and an active alumni program supports aftercare. Veterans and first responders can join dedicated tracks that reflect their experiences and needs.

Review from Rehabs.com

Our adult son was treated here (FLATC) for 60 days. Quite frankly, we thank God every day for this facility! Humble in its appearance, but don't let that fool you, as the "marble palaces" spend their money on the surroundings, not therapy. Here, it is an intensive inpatient program, focusing on the 12 steps. In addition to therapy morning and afternoon six and a half days a week, there is attendance at an AA or NA meeting every night. Is there some repitition? Of course! It takes more than once hearing something to have it sink in. There is also an intensive outpatient program. The comments about medical care were surprising, as we did not experience anything other than a high level of care. Our son arrived after a hospital stay for an overdose and had lingering medical issues. He was monitored closely, and we were communicated with regularly. He saw a nurse sometimes up to three times a day, and doctors as needed. The accommodations were appropriate, and clean! The allowance for food is $75.00 per week, not $60.00 as reported in a precious review here! If a resident ran out of food, (which did not happen to our son), it was made clear that they would be given additional funds to get more food. Yes, they cook their own food, but the group that he lived with worked out a system that was fair and equitable. There is a very busy schedule, which includes a chance to go to a gym everyday, outings, and special field trips on occasion. There is a massage therapist on staff, and most have one or two massages a week. The administrators and therapists that we worked with were incredibly dedicated and communicative. The program director even gave us his cell phone number and responded to text messages within minutes. We were offered family therapy sessions which we took advantage of, which was one on one, not group. Our son had both group and individual counseling sessions. The techs are plentiful and committed. Many have been in recovery and are dedicated to giving back. Their commitment to ensuring that your loved one is successful is a huge part of the success of FLATC. As we lived within driving distance, we visited every week for family visiting hours, in addition to attending family counseling, and saw first hand the dedication of all who work there. Our son credits his success with recovery to the FLATC program. He was willing, he listened, and he did the work! There is no facility that is perfect for all, but if you or your loved one are serious about recovery, and want a serious program that works, then take a very close look at Fort Lauderdale Addiction Treatment Center.

Review from Rehabs.com

I went to Flat-C 2 years ago.. Best thing ever.. I've relapsed many times in the past.. Im from Pittsburgh Pa by the way.. So I went 1,500 miles to get help.. The difference with me going to Flat-C and the other programs I've been is.. Flat-C gives you the skills to start working a new way of life not telling you what we already know that we have a chemical enbalance.. The techs couldn't have been so helpful.. One staff member what a blessing she came into my life.. Rehabd are rehabs it's all as you wanna take it.. When I was there the clients were awesome.. To also say we did get $75.00 a week for food not $60.00 as said before.. I'll so love to go back and maybe share my experience.. I hope this review will help.. Might be a little scattered but I know all will understand what I'm saying.. God bless you all..
