Located by I-675, KAV Health Dayton (also known as Dayton Suboxone Doctor) serves adults in the southwest Ohio area with mental health, substance use, and eating disorders. Mental health conditions they treat include ADHD, anxiety, bipolar, depression, mania, hypomania, PTSD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, insomnia, and other mood disorders. They treat drug addiction for alcohol, heroin, opioids, prescription drugs, morphine, codeine, heroin, and other opiates. Eating conditions they treat include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, ruminating, regurgitating, and avoidant or restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). KAV Health offers same-day consultations and then crafts a personalized treatment plan for in-person or virtual care that factors in co-occurring conditions. Their therapists are familiar with the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) methods. The therapy plan progresses at the client's pace.

In addition to individual and group therapy, KAV Health performs medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for mental health conditions and substance use. They mainly administer Suboxone, which contains buprenorphine and naloxone to reduce the cravings for opioids, alcohol, and other drugs.

Medical Marijuana Treatment

KAV Health treats PTSD and other mental health issues using medical marijuana. Specifically, they carry THC and administer it in compliance with Ohio laws.

Availability

KAV Health operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some of their virtual counselors also offer evening and weekend hours.

KAV Health has 3 more clinics in southwest Ohio for mental health, substance use, and eating disorders, plus their Cincinnati West location that treats substance use. They can treat additional health concerns at their many nearby primary health clinics.

Aftercare

For substance use, KAV Health provides a sober living option for aftercare. Their 7 sober living centers, collectively called Izzy's House, share resources with their clinics and administer Suboxone as part of treatment. Both of their women's houses and 3 of their 5 men's houses are here in Dayton.
