Provider's Policy

Overstory Health is committed to removing barriers to care. That’s why we accept most major insurance plans, including MassHealth (Medicaid), in addition to self-pay, to make sure our services are available to as many people as possible. We’ll guide you through the entire insurance and payment process, making it easy and stress-free without any surprises.

Offering day treatment and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), with flexible virtual, daytime, and evening options, this center specializes in treating adults with mental health disorders. They offer medication management services as necessary and combine psychoeducation, case management, and evidence-based therapies in 1-on-1 and group settings delivering structured and intensive support.

A Look Into the Programs

Overstory Health keeps each program group to 10 participants or fewer and they aim to organize groups to be most supportive to client's needs. Their day treatment program (partial hospitalization program) meets 5 days a week for 4 hours each day and their IOP meets 3 days a week for 3 hours each day allowing individuals to continue commitments outside of treatment.

A typical day in the program might start with a group reflection and personal check-in, then move onto discussion-based psychotherapy and peer support, and then end with a skills group. The program helps build important skills like managing emotions, navigating difficult situations, and communicating.

Intensive monitoring and care for conditions like depression, trauma, suicidality, and anxiety. Residential mental health facilities offer a safe setting with activities and structure, plus opportunities to practice life skills and bond with peers.
Day Treatment
In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Intensive Outpatient Program
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.
