Set about 2 miles west of the Spokane River and north of downtown, Riverside Recovery Center helps people who are struggling with drug or alcohol addiction. They offer outpatient care and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that use evidence-based therapies to reduce cravings and build healthy habits. Treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group counseling, relapse prevention, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with Suboxone and Vivitrol. Gender-specific groups provide a safe, supportive space for recovery.

Family and Community Reintegration

Two key parts of Riverside’s program are family involvement and legal support. The team works with loved ones to rebuild relationships and create a strong foundation for long-term recovery. They also assist clients with court-related needs, including DUI assessments and treatment plans. Riverside meets Washington State guidelines for deferred prosecution, giving some clients a chance to enter treatment instead of serving jail time.

Inpatient Alternative for Additional Structure

For clients who need more structured care, Riverside partners with Riverside-Milam Recovery Centers in Kirkland to help connect them to inpatient treatment.

Positives: 1. They feed family counseling for the loved ones of drug problems. 2. The nurture and care of the residents are.great 3. Problem solving excellent 4. Learning you have a higher power than yourself and hey teach you how to have a great support system around you. Negatives: 1. Wishing more time to be spent there besides the time alotted. The time my family member spent there helped.greatly in the changes that needed to take place for the drug abuse. Learning we are not responsible for our family members choice in doing the drugs and that you can take.a.stand and say no to being a co dependant of the user.
