They offer detox, residential, day treatment (partial hospitalization), intensive outpatient (IOP), and extended care with sober living. Clients work closely with Pocono Mountain’s treatment team to create an individualized care plan for their needs.
A Full Continuum of Care
Pocono Mountain begins treatment with 24/7 medically supervised detox. They provide medication-assisted treatment with suboxone, sublocade, vivitrol, or zubsolv. Clients can transition to Pocono Mountain’s residential care or outpatient programs to begin therapeutic work. Their day treatment is 7 days weekly, 5.5 hours per day, while their IOP is 6 days weekly, 3 hours per day. Pocono Mountain offers 2 sober living options for their clients. Their Meadowbrook and Rock Crest locations provide around-the-clock support and 3 meals daily. Length of stay in sober living varies between 30-90 days, and families can visit on Saturdays and Sundays.
Well-Rounded Therapies
In addition to treating addictions, Pocono Mountain treats co-occurring depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), physical and sexual trauma, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and schizophrenia. They utilize individual, group, and family therapy. Treatment is a 12-Step-based program. Pocono Mountain strives to provide clients with a holistic recovery, so they have art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness therapy, meditation, role playing, and yoga. Psychoeducational groups and workshops focus on topics such as stress and anger management, developing a support network, and learning how to refuse offers to use alcohol and drugs.
A Healing Environment
Pocono Mountain’s residential and sober living homes offer a comfortable place to focus on recovery. Bedrooms can be shared or private, and there is in-house laundry. All homes have access to green outdoor space and are surrounded by woodlands. Electronics are not permitted. Clients receive life skills coaching on cooking, shopping, cleaning, hygiene, and resume building. After treatment, Pocono Mountain provides alumni events and an annual summer picnic in Henryville, Pennsylvania.
