About Pyramid Martinsburg Residential
Pyramid Healthcare’s Martinsburg Residential Treatment Center provides men-only residential care for addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle. Their secure 168-acre campus creates a nurturing environment that helps men step away from daily triggers and focus on meaningful, long-term recovery. They offer high- and low-intensity residential care plus medication-assisted treatment (MAT). With a focus on accessibility, they accept WV Medicaid, many commercial plans, and private pay.
Practice Skills while Gaining Experiences
Pyramid uses a whole-person approach that looks beyond symptoms to address underlying factors that keep addiction going. Clients participate in individual, group, and family therapy, plus peer recovery support, recovery education, and relapse-prevention planning. The team also combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and a 12-Step philosophy with experiential options like creative and outdoor activities to build coping skills, emotional regulation, and accountability.
Settle Into a Healthy Routine
Men live in a wooded Hedgesville campus, with mountain views, walking paths, and space to reset or reconnect with healthy routines. The property includes residential buildings and shared gathering areas, such as a dining hall and great room, where peers can build community outside sessions. To remove logistical barriers, the team also offers complimentary transportation 24/7 for admissions and for treatment-related needs.
Step Down with Consistent Support
Before discharge, Pyramid builds comprehensive aftercare plans so clients leave with structure, support, and clear next steps. Men may step down from high-intensity (ASAM 3.5) to low-intensity residential (ASAM 3.1) while maintaining continuity with staff and peers. The team coordinates ongoing care plans that may include outpatient services, recovery support, and relapse-prevention strategies for life back home.
