Insurance

Provider's Policy

Our team will verify your insurance first to determine your initial needs. Because we contract with most major health insurance carriers, you generally receive the highest benefit levels from your insurer. If we don’t contract with your insurance carrier, we’ll work with your out-of-network benefits to ensure you still benefit from your insurance plan. Based on the benefits you receive and what each of our facilities can offer, we may recommend a particular RCA facility to maximize your insurance benefits. Call us to learn more.

Ranked #2 in Indiana on Newsweek’s 2024 list of America’s Best Addiction Centers, RCA at Indianapolis delivers clinically proven care with signature compassion. They treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions through a full continuum of services, including medically monitored detox, residential treatment, and day treatment and intensive outpatient programs (in-person or virtual). They admit clients 24/7, accept most insurance, and provide transportation, intervention, and family support services when needed.

Navigate Recovery with 6 Guiding Principles

RCA applies six core tenets they’ve determined essential for every client to achieve sustained recovery. These include medications to reduce cravings and prevent relapse, daily 12-step meetings for peer support, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training to manage emotions and cope with challenges. Clients also benefit from family involvement, strong alumni connections after discharge, and care that’s guided by real-time progress tracking to adapt and improve treatment along the way.

Recharge in a Restorative Setting

Located at the “Crossroads of America,” RCA at Indianapolis offers clients a retreat from the stresses of everyday life to focus on recovery. Semi-private rooms feature flat-screen TVs and individual bathrooms for added comfort. Clients enjoy a modern gym, outdoor recreation like volleyball and disc golf, and a peaceful pond for fishing. Fresh, homemade meals and welcoming common areas help create a supportive, restorative atmosphere throughout the treatment experience.

Stay Supported with a Thriving Alumni Network

RCA’s alumni association helps clients stay supported and inspired long after treatment ends. They offer ongoing recovery meetings and sober events like movies, sports, and picnics to bring alumni together for fun, fellowship, and connection. Many events allow alumni to invite family and friends, so their support system can play an active role in recovery.

Clients are empowered to keep their primary focus on recovery during inpatient treatment, while having the ability to spend up to 3 hours a day maintaining virtual obligations in a quiet environment with WiFi.
Start Fresh & Shame-Free After Relapse
Start Fresh & Shame-Free After Relapse
RCA’s Fresh Start Pathway is for clients who have previously been in treatment but need additional support to maintain lasting recovery. Designed to eliminate feelings of shame that may come with a return to use, clients address what may have led to relapse and gain tools and renewed momentum alongside others re-entering treatment.
Access Care from the Comfort of Home

Care Options

Levels of Care

Everyone's recovery journey is unique. Whether it looks like residential rehab for 30 days, an outpatient program, or virtual therapy, you can find a level of care that fits your needs.
Detox
Typically the initial stage of treatment for substance use, focusing on medically supervised management of withdrawal symptoms.
Residential Rehab
Offering intensive care with 24/7 monitoring, residential substance use treatment is typically 30 days. Length can range from 14 to 90 days.
Sober Living
Not Offered at This Center
Transitional housing designed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders offering a safe, supportive and structured environment for practicing long-term sobriety, while reintegrating back into daily living.
Day Treatment
In a PHP, patients live at home but follow an intensive schedule of treatment. Most programs require you to be on-site for about 40 hours per week.
Intensive Outpatient Program
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Virtual & In-Home Care
The delivery of therapeutic services utilizing technology such as video conferencing, online messaging or phone calls, allowing for flexibility, comfort and increased access to care.
Co-Occurring Mental Health
Treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders, which affect the majority of individuals diagnosed, integrates care for mental health conditions with primary substance use. Personalized care plans are crafted to effectively address each condition simultaneously, optimizing the healing process.

RCA changed my life. Most of the workers had gone through recovery or struggled with it themselves which helped a lot. They understood what we were going through and were more empathetic. The facility is really nice too. It’s basically like a hotel. Private restroom and shower. They’ve got a basketball hoop, places to fish, trivia nights, volleyball, and much more. I really enjoyed my time there and they helped me get back on track. I still go to the Alumni meetings and also the events because of how awesome RCA is and I’ve met lifelong friends. There’s also a group chat that has Alumni in it so you can stay connected with people even after you leave. That connection is vital to staying on the right path. They also have monthly Alumni events which is so cool. Along with weekly Alumni meetings where we can come back to the RCA facility and attend a meeting with the people we were in there with. Also, they offer PHP and IOP which is awesome because you’re not just left hanging after you leave inpatient. There’s a step down process which makes the transition to the real world a LOT smoother. Overall, RCA was a huge factor in my recovery and still is to this day. I’d recommend it to anyone who is struggling and looking for help. RCA is the way to go and the right place for help.

iop was great- i learned so much and provided a meaningful alternative to in patient for someone in my situation- i felt connected w that group and slowly some came to hop- gop was hit and miss- at first too many people to be meaningful and education seemed to stop, then we split and again i began to feel like it was a support group that gave me motivation to stay connected and sober- was told by a few that gop was indefinite, then counselor left, dynamic shifted, more talking cross talking and some were left out, also teaching style changed from lit or video discussion as primary objective to more of a burning topic discussion w cross talk and a counselor telling what research says but no real focus on that for group sharing- was much less effective, then new counselor- and then i decided that i had enough outside support and the meetings felt like a chore that was no longer helpful but i am nonetheless grateful for the good experiences in rca that led me on my current recovery journey- as alone before never cut it but rca and adding in as and a sponsor has seemingly been the shift i needed

Do not go to this place if you have a choice! My experience there was horrible, aside from a couple people who worked there being nice. It’s the most disorganized place I’ve ever been to. They lost peoples meds, missed doses, neglected patients.
