Navigate Recovery with 7 Guiding Principles

RCA structures care around 7 core tenets they’ve identified as essential for lasting recovery. These include care planning, medication-assisted support when appropriate, daily 12-Step programming for accountability, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) skills to manage emotions and stress. Treatment also emphasizes family involvement, measurement-based care that adapts to progress, and strong alumni connections after discharge.

Heal in a Restorative Setting

Located less than 20 miles from the Jersey Shore, RCA at Lighthouse offers a calm, welcoming environment designed for focus and healing. Clients stay in semi-private rooms with modern interiors and a flat-screen TV at each bed, gather in cozy lounges with fireplaces, and use a high-end fitness center. Nutritious, chef-prepared meals and quiet shared spaces support daily routines that promote physical and emotional well-being.

Stay Supported with a Thriving Alumni Network

RCA extends care beyond treatment through a thriving alumni association that helps clients stay connected in recovery. Choose a Recovery Path that Fits
Choose a Recovery Path that Fits
RCA offers 3 distinct treatment pathways designed around clients’ recovery histories and clinical needs. Foundations supports individuals new to treatment, Fresh Start serves those returning after relapse without shame, and Balance addresses addiction alongside co-occurring mental health conditions. These pathways tailor structure, peer groups, and clinical focus to strengthen long-term recovery outcomes.
Heal and Grow Stronger as a Family
Heal and Grow Stronger as a Family
RCA recognizes that addiction affects the entire family system, not just the individual. Family services include educational webinars, in-person and virtual support groups, and guided family meetings. These offerings help loved ones set healthy boundaries, understand addiction and recovery, and prepare for long-term healing together through improved communication and shared expectations.
Balance Recovery with Work or School
Balance Recovery with Work or School
RCA’s WorkFlex program allows patients in inpatient care to continue work or academic responsibilities without postponing treatment. Clients can dedicate scheduled time to virtual obligations in a quiet, WiFi-enabled environment. This structure helps patients protect outside commitments while maintaining recovery as their primary focus during treatment.
Access Care from the Comfort of Home
Access Care from the Comfort of Home
RCA offers virtual outpatient services for patients who cannot attend in-person care or prefer to recover from home. Delivered through HIPAA-compliant web-based platforms, virtual programs provide the same evidence-based, accredited care as onsite treatment. This option expands access for patients balancing recovery with distance, scheduling, or personal responsibilities.
Care Options

Levels of Care

Everyone's recovery journey is unique. Whether it looks like residential rehab for 30 days, an outpatient program, or virtual therapy, you can find a level of care that fits your needs.
Detox
Typically the initial stage of treatment for substance use, focusing on medically supervised management of withdrawal symptoms.
Residential Rehab
Offering intensive care with 24/7 monitoring, residential substance use treatment is typically 30 days. Length can range from 14 to 90 days.
Sober Living
Not Offered at This Center
Transitional housing designed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders offering a safe, supportive and structured environment for practicing long-term sobriety, while reintegrating back into daily living.
Intensive Outpatient Program
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.
Outpatient
Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.
Virtual & In-Home Care
The delivery of therapeutic services utilizing technology such as video conferencing, online messaging or phone calls, allowing for flexibility, comfort and increased access to care.
Co-Occurring Mental Health
Treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders, which affect the majority of individuals diagnosed, integrates care for mental health conditions with primary substance use. Personalized care plans are crafted to effectively address each condition simultaneously, optimizing the healing process.

Worst place I've ever been to. While nice inside it's complete chaos There's no communication between staff and youre left in limbo waiting. I only had 1 therapy session that was 1 on 1 and it took 10 days to see the dr for the go ahead to take my medication that I brought and take daily. I never met my case worker and had tried many times as well as my husband to get the family therapy. It never happened. My husband's calls were unanswered and not returned. I was told if I said on the phone I want to leave they would hang up the phone and lose that privilege. The plan that was set up for me was not followed and never happened. It was absolutely worst experience of my entire life! I had to take matters into my own hands to speak to doctors and the case worker etc. Don't go here. The nice interior is a facade and you don't get the help promised. What you will get is stress and treated like a nobody. You don't exist. I was at Mays Landing NJ

Review from Rehabs.com

While the overall amenities and meals are good the actual meat of their program, which is supposed to be counseling and group instruction is the cheapest form of therapy you can provide that insurance will let them bill. Sure its nice to have a TV in your room and decent meals, if you are looking for any real help you are out of luck. This program is very heavy handed religious instruction, specifically of the Christian kind. A sampling of groups include lectures and spiritual Jam with Pastor Zack (who seems to believe he talks to God and makes predictions for everyone in his group [which can be pretty comical in itself], or groups such as Bible Study (nope not making this up). Given that once I was there I found out that the CEO was an ordained minister things kind of make sense now. This place is also 12 step to the extreme. Even though on the schedule it will say things like 'Brian Body Seminar' or 'Family Dynmaics Seminar', all groups are RSS (which are other addicts who have no certification or psychological training) just going on a sermon about something in the Big Book or Basic Text. There is not any psycoeduction at this place at all, even though they schedule and websites states to the contrary. Nobody at this place can explain the brain chemestry behind addiction, anything about family dynamics. All they can do is just repeat what they have heard at meetings (even though a lot of stuff has been scientifically disproven). Basically the groups are run cheapy by people whos concept of addiction comes from a book that hasn't been updated since 1938. My primary counselor was almost always 15-30 minutes late for group. He never followed up on anything that was discussed with him and let paper work with my employeer fall through the cracks. His group was more lecture than therapy. In conclustion this place is a nice place but there is no real therapy here and the groups are not run by people who are quailifed to provide any therapy no have the knowledge of any of the latest advances in addiction science.
