Denvir Dobbs was born in Chicago, Illinois, and regards the “Windy City” as his home base, despite having resided in several locations across the United States throughout his life and career. He is a Certified Recovery Specialist with training focused on ethical considerations for recovery. Additionally, he has received training in health, financial, and rehabilitation resources through MusiCares.

Denvir holds service and sponsorship positions within Twelve Step Fellowships and possesses certifications as a coach, safe passage provider, and remote coach for technology-based platforms. His professional journey in peer support began with the personal application and adoption of healthy and safe living practices, which led to his own successful recovery from substance abuse.

Since early 2016, his advanced training and extensive work experience in peer support, combined with his personal recovery journey, have provided him with the opportunity and purpose of helping others. He approaches each client’s case individually, tailoring methods to their personality and interests. His foundation includes promoting mindfulness, managing triggers, and aligning daily activities with clients’ goals. Denvir emphasizes accountability and the preservation of integrity within clients’ personal relationships, helping to maintain balance among friends, family, and colleagues during the healing process.

Denvir has excelled in supporting young professionals and advanced youth, finding fulfillment in connecting with their interests and integrating these into his support strategies. While his client base spans a wide range of ages and socioeconomic backgrounds, he particularly values the opportunity to work with younger clients. At 33 years old, he takes pride in his ability to stay engaged with the culture and hobbies of younger individuals, as well as those entering or established in the professional workforce.

His personal interests include hospitality operations, artistic glass blowing, mechanical engineering, and set-design manufacturing. Outside of work, he enjoys motorcycling, long-distance biking, camping, exploring new cities and restaurants, and discovering new music and arts. He is an avid fan of UK garage house music, sci-fi movies, modern architecture, and Montreal bagels.

Denvir remains committed to supporting his clients in achieving their goals and continues to pursue cutting-edge methods, knowledge, and techniques to foster positive recoveries.

A personal note from Denvir: "I understand how intimidating it can be to reach out for help, so I want to commend you for exploring options. This is often the hardest part of the recovery process. One may read my bio and find it a bit overwhelming, so I wanted to take the opportunity to speak more candidly. At the end of the day I'm just a person who's experienced life's ups and downs, and have since found a new way to live that I never thought possible as a result of my own recovery. This is what I think makes me uniquely qualified to help those in need. I'm always willing to help people start their journey, regardless of whether we work together after that or not. I believe helping people on their road to recovery is my primary purpose and I'm looking forward to helping as many people as I can."
