This residential program in Portland, Oregon, developed in partnership with the State of Oregon Office of Mental Health and Addiction Services, works to build supportive relationships with residents and encourages clients to take the lead in their mental health treatment and progress toward independence.

For admission into this 16-bed facility, clients must be an adult male 18 years or older, have a primary Axis I psychiatric diagnosis, and have had extensive involvement with the criminal justice system. All applicants are from one of the three Oregon State Hospitals or from one of the local Acute Care Psychiatric Units. Referrals to the program are made by the Multnomah County Human Services Department (Mental Health Division).

Experience Structured Support in a Respectful Environment

The program provides continuous residential supervision and support for men diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness who need 24-hour assistance with psychiatric recovery. The residence is structured to help individuals transition toward independent living by reducing hospitalizations, recidivism, and enhancing daily living skills in a community environment. While the residence is a locked facility, staff work to make residents feel respected and well-supported. Residents can expect 1-on-1 psychotherapy, group therapy and activities, case management, community integration activities, medication management services, and more.
