Ardu Recovery, named after the Irish Gaelic word for “rise up,” is a medical detox and addiction treatment center. Ardu Recovery Center provides individualized treatment for clients struggling with alcohol and drug addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients receive evidence-based therapy treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), experiential therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), family therapy, group therapy, motivational interviewing, nutrition therapy, recreational therapy, and trauma therapy. Ardu Recovery offers gender-specific treatment programs for men and women. Ardu Recovery also offers a holistic approach to therapy, as they believe that treating clients as a whole rather than just focusing on the addiction is key. Ardu Recovery prides itself on their unique and innovative treatments such as IV amino acid therapy, Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and Reiki. A typical length of stay is 30 days and costs on average $15,000. Ardu Recovery is accredited by CARF. They are in-network with some providers and accept most major insurance.

Set in the beautiful landscape of Utah, Ardu is a spa-like rehabilitation center. They offer semi-private bedrooms and bathrooms. Ardu Recovery is an hour south of Salt Lake City. Ardu Recovery offers their clients a fitness center, saunas, yoga, massage, and outings to the local shopping centers. Healthy meals are provided and prepared on-site from a chef.

Review from Rehabs.com

So I absolutely loved my stay at ardu, I stayed for 56 days and had a fantastic time. We went on experientials, we went camping, we went swimming, and did so many activities, and meetings, and groups, and i had so much fun! Haley, Holly, Lindsey, Bree, Matt, Caitlin and Thomas, John and so many more, and they all deserve so much recognition because they helped me so much! Toni, my counselor, was incredible and amazing, I learned so much about myself and my childhood, she was available for me 24 hours a day and I miss her so much! I do have one issue though; honesty and holding yourself accountable is supposed to be the pinnacle of the program, and you're supposed to be rewarded for it. I was totally honest with my counselor, and techs, but someone else wasn't honest with their counselor, who was Sean, and so Sean overrode MY counselor, which should never happen, so I ended up with a completion certificate rather than a graduate certificate. Sean really shouldn't have been allowed to butt in between my counselor and myself, because there's no way for him to know what was said between us. If my counselor did not sanction me no one else should have been allowed to. At the same time Sean was an amazing person to work with out in the field we did fun things and he was easy to get along with all the way up until he let his bias control him at the end. Sean was incredible at getting us, as a group use our brains, minds and physical, to get through his tasks in such a way that inspired trust, which no one else did, and when it was all said and done he was able to relate each one of those tasks back to addiction. Had it not been for that last week he would have been one of the most amazing people there. Even though his client lied to him, I never did lie. I refuse to hold any resentments because I'm not going to have 58 days stay clouded by the last week. And yes I'm still clean! I've been pulled over six times in the last 4 days by the local cops, who all know me and my car. Me, my dog and Jesse have all been clean.

I just want to take time to say what Ardu has done for me. I went through both the detox facility and the residential treatment program and I can't stress enough how great of a program Ardu is providing. The staff there truly cares and goes above and beyond to take care of each and every patient. The facility is so clean and comfortable! The kitchen staff kills it each and every day! I've never eaten so well! Ardu gave me a chance at life, and it was the start of my journey to recovery. For that I can't thank them enough. From the bottom of my heart, I think each and everyone of you guys over at Ardu. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being real. Thank you for giving me a chance to succeed. I love you all. -Drose Hulett

Review from Rehabs.com

The facilities were great. However, my aftercare services we abominable. My treatment over the phone by a worker was completely unprofessional and degrading. She raised her voice at me several times, and I told her I understood exactly what she was saying and she didn't need to speak to me like I was a child. I asked to speak to her manager and she hung up on me. I wish that call had been recorded. Maybe she's an excellent nurse (or whatever she does there) but her customer service skills are POORLY lacking and offensive. I cannot believe I was treated like this. Before I would have recommended ARDU, now, because of her, I would absolutely not.

Lover the staff at Ardu. The only complaint I had was there was too much down time. My understanding since I have been there that has changed. They weren’t in it for the money. I was a difficult patient in the beginning and they always just put their arms around me and made sure I was welcomed. What a gift it was to have gone there.
