Review from Rehabs.com

This place may have been good in the past, but now it's a joke. The houses are not clean (and not cleaned regularly), AC was broken in 2 houses, beds crammed in rooms where they don't fit, and according to staff they are chronically understaffed. According to other residents there was frequently not enough staff to take them on the "regular" outings they advertised. I left after 3 days because I never saw a therapist and they had no groups either. Well, we watched a YouTube video once, but it really wasn't recovery based. The website photos are not accurate. The houses are in disrepair. In no way was this "luxury" rehab. Admissions staff assured me that they would work with me to get some SMART recovery options instead of just AA, when I inquired they said we'll see if we can get you to a zoom meeting a few times. To be fair, staff did try to address some concerns. They moved me from the crowded room and the house with no AC to a different house with only 2 beds in the room, which was cleaner - however the bathroom was not clean. No staff member could tell me if or when a cleaner had been in either house or if we could expect them in the future. The food was also horrible - cereal for breakfast or cook some eggs yourself with awful kitchen equiptment. They also did not take into account my dietary restrictions (lactose free) or allergies (seafood). When I finally decided to leave, the nurse on duty was incredibly rude, unresponsive, unprofessional, and very unkind. I had to hurriedly repack my bags in the garage and was not given my cell phone before I was taken to the garage in order to find a hotel or book an Uber. It took 6 hours from the time I said I wanted to leave until I finally got my things and was discharged. Once I was finished packing, I was told to leave the garage and go sit on the curb - as the sun was setting, in an unfamiliar city. Completely unnecessary and inhumane. I asked to speak with the executive director on the phone almost 48 hours before he agreed to speak with me. By then I had already decided to leave. Perhaps if he were more involved, it might have been possible to address my concerns, but he obviously didn't care enough to call until I said I wanted to leave. I will also say, to their credit, once I left the admission staff did provide recommendations for two alternative rehab facilities, which was appreciated.

This place literally saved my life - business, family, and health. The medical staff was outstanding, and facilitated me getting sober in a safe and comfortable manner. The Staff was amazing. Every session that we had was of great value. I mentally grew, and got better. The therapy was spot on - no BS, straight to the point in terms of uncovering internal demons that I had been dealing with . Most importantly, I am leaving feeling better than I have for years, and I have a detailed plan to STAY sober and create a beautiful life for myself and my family. PS: The FOOD was amazing. I put on 5lbs.... ugh . (LOL)

***2 week stay cost me $62,000.00*** Beware! I agree with the positive reviews that this place is extremely clean and the staff treated me amazingly and i got alot out of the program- the problem didn\'t start til after I got home 2 weeks later. Kelsey told us we had to pay nothing out of pocket and the 2 week stay would only cost $3,500...basically anything we wanted to hear to get me in the door. Imagine my disbelief when I got a bill in the mail for $62,000!!! Yes u heard me right, sixty two Thousand dollars for a 2 week stay!!!!! When I called Kelsey to ask about receiving a detailed breakdown of the bill no answer....I have heard similar stories about this place getting all they can from the insurance companies and now I believe it! Yes they are a great place but at what cost??? Could of went to Malibu for 30 days for that price. Not 14 days in Costa Mesa. Its a shame because I really liked this place until I got the bill.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Asana. I googled ‘best detox facilities’ and Asana stood out as one that caters to you as a unique individual and not just the cookie cutter institutional facility so I braved it and gave them a call. I was immediately connected to Kelsey who helped me coordinate everything for my trip within an hour to start my treatment. It was my first time in a detox and I had no idea what to expect and was extremely nervous about taking the first step. Kelsey told me someone will pick me up from the airport which was wonderful, Angel picked me up at the airport and immediately asked if I was hungry or thirsty and offered to take me to get something to eat. He could not have been kinder and more welcoming. He took me straight to the house and I was met with Morgan who helped me do all the paperwork that first night and made me feel so comfortable through a very stressful day, she helped me get settled and made sure I knew I could come to her for anything and everything. From the techs to the nurses they made me feel like I was their only client and not once did they not listen to what I needed to say. They checked in on me often and never pushed me to take anything or do anything I was uncomfortable with. They all went out of their way to genuinely talk to me and share their story and wisdom to help me through my recovery. I always felt safe and most of the time did not feel patient/client, I felt like I was at a second home with a lot of caring friends. They made being sober easy, I never laughed as much as I did and never was I able to share so honestly and openly what my issues were. One of the staff members (Angel) in an effort to make me comfortable went out and even bought me all the ingredients to make Vietnamese soup on his day off (which took half a day), he knew I loved to cook and it gave me a piece of home when I was so homesick. I was and still am so grateful. Thank you (In no particular order and I’m sure I’m missing someone) Shaina, Morgan, Angel, Ken, Scott, Mike, Kelsey, Mark, Adam, Chris, Meg, Jodi, Brian, David, John, and everyone else that was there through my stay. I can sincerely say without them I would not have been able to do this. I will forever be grateful. They have my son back his mom and my mom back her daughter. - Lili

Review from Rehabs.com

The facility and treatment offered is grand. All the clients' needs are met and highly structured on a day by day basis. The staff hold such a high dedication to granting clients structure, discipline, and a foundation. The meals are phenomenal, the groups are therapeutic, and the overall care overzealous in the ability of changing lives. Totally recommending it for detox and residential clients. The facility is strong in its staff communication, interaction with clients, following protocols, and groups. The facility is weak in space and room.
