Please understand that Hope House is not managed well. I left after a week and a half to join a different program. We were often left alone on weekend nights, no employees and no phone in case of an emergency. One of the employees was always angry and yelling about something, which is not ok in a rehab facility. I tried bringing these issues up to Billy (the director) recently to try and gain some closure and all he said was "thanks for your input." I wish it would have worked out but, unfortunately, I don't believe that Billy has the proper tools to run the place nor the humility to improve in many areas.

This program works for very few people. The women in recovery there seem to be doing very well, but it wasn't for me. The first couple days I attended the program there were no employees from around 6pm until about 8am the next day. They should not be leaving patients alone like that, especially when they're so new. Deborah was very nice, I liked confiding in her when she was there. Tina was extremely negative and rude, I would get so stressed and angry everytime she showed up, and she would always defend herself with "It's just a joke!" And Billy (the director) hardly made any time for us to speak individually like he said he would. And there's just something off about him making a house full of women keep his motorcycle clean. It felt demeaning, like he was asserting some kind of dominance in having us do that. I will never go back there. They are so closed minded about other treatment programs, and yet I'm doing way better in AA and outpatient than I was when I was there.

Billy wasn't very involved. But he did keep his motorcycle at the house for us "ladies" to keep clean for him. Very strange. There were only 2 employees for the house when I was there. There were multiple nights when no employee was present. The other employee was extremely negative and judgmental, complaining non stop so she made the stay extremely taxing (she almost had me kicked out for getting angry with her constant bad attitude). Tried bringing it up to Billy once I left but he didn't seem to care.
