Review from Rehabs.com

After going through the Beaches Recovery program, I feel more prepared than I have in my entire life. I've struggled with alcoholism for over 10 years. I've attempted to get sober on my own, and did an intensive outpatient program in my hometown. I was always anxious about going into an inpatient treatment program. To me, it meant giving up all my control and freedom. Honestly, it was the scariest decision I've ever had to make. Upon my arrival, I was certainly nervous about what the coming weeks would bring, however I quickly realized how much the staff at Beaches truly cared for me and my recovery. For the first time I felt like I belonged, as if I had finally found people that understood me and could help me. At last, I wasn't alone in this anymore! Not only was the staff incredible, but in my opinion, the structure, schedule, and living arrangements are perfectly tailored to helping the recovering addict transition into their new life, free of substances. They offer a balance between activities, therapy sessions, and downtime. However, never did I feel there was too much of one or the other. It was a great way to address my alcoholism and recovery, while still maintaining some of the independence I am used to. This was especially helpful to me when it was time for me to graduate from the program and re-enter the real world. I didn't feel like I had been "institutionalized" by the experience. Instead, I had learned basic life skills and the importance of constant mindfulness and personal maintenance in my day to day life, all while being SOBER. This was new to me, and I needed to know that I COULD live my life clean and sober, AND enjoy it! Which leads me to one last thing; The staff does an excellent job in getting everyone out for events and activities. I feel like I did more activities around town in my 2 months at Beaches than I have in 5 years of living here in Jacksonville! And the beauty of it all is I was sober and having fun with other individuals with whom I could relate to. This gave me the confidence I needed to know that life CAN be and IS amazing in sobriety! I can whole-heartedly say that if you are struggling with addiction and looking for a treatment facility, Beaches is the place to go to hit that 'reset' button and start your new life in sobriety. They will offer you a safe place to get clean and clear your mind, all while learning the necessary coping skills and tools to STAY clean. If you're truly ready to surrender and change your life, the staff at Beaches will be there with you every step of the way. Not to mention, it's in a beautiful area of Jacksonville Beach, just minutes from the ocean! I cant express enough the impact that my time in Beaches Recovery has had on me. I'm already experiencing things in my life now that I never thought would be possible 6 months ago. I've gained a confidence, humility, and deeper understanding of addiction. And I no longer feel alone and misunderstood. The benefits of the program do NOT end when you walk out those doors. If you're willing to do the work and take the advice of the staff and counselors, you CAN and WILL have a life beyond your wildest dreams. I truly feel like mine is just beginning!

There are many options to choose from when choosing the appropriate recovery program for you, from AA to NA, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, Church. The mentorship phase allows you to pursue employment and have freedom outside of the facility for an easier transition back to the real word upon completion of the program. I have been to many facilities, Beaches is by far the best facility I've come across in every aspect. Beaches Recovery is by far the best treatment facility I've been affiliated with and I've been to more than a handful of facilties. The clients' living quarters are second to none. The staff from the therapists, to the drivers, to the techs, are very caring, many are in recovery and always willing to help. Beaches offers a handful of options to personalize your recovery and choose which program will work best for you whether its AA, NA, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, Church. Clients are taken to outside activities weekly such as surfing, fishing, boat therapy, ropes course, bowling, Top Golf, camping, and the list goes on. The mentorship program allows clients to test the waters while still having the structure and pursue employment etc. Beaches Recovery is a premier rehab facility that is second to none!
