About GateHouse Treatment - Florida
Gatehouse continuing care and treatment philosophy is based upon the biopsychological model of substance abuse treatment. Simply put, we believe in the "disease concept." This means that your loved one has a three-fold illness affecting his or her mind, body, and spirit, therefore, it is necessary to treat not only the addiction but also the whole person. We treat the three-fold illness of addiction through a combination of individual and group Clinical Therapy, Life Skill, Health, Wellness, Educational, Faith discovery programs, daily Fitness, fantastic weekend Recreational Activities, and Family Counseling - all based on a 12-Step Foundation and combined with a safe and structured living environment. This unique, comprehensive, and multi-faceted program is referred to as the Gatehouse Treatment Model. Gatehouse's ultimate goal is to equip our clients for the challenges of the "real world." Each of the five Gatehouse Treatment Model components is provided to each client within each of our Day / Night Community Housing (PHP), Intensive Out Patient (IOP), and Out Patient (OP) levels of treatment.
