Review from Rehabs.com

I went to this rehab facility in 2012. I maxed out my credit cards to the tune of $30K to go to a really nice place. It was beautiful, but there was no creek. It was on a hill in the blistering sun with no beautiful babbling brook as pictured (at that time) in the brochure. The equine therapy, was at 2pm (the hottest time of the day), which is not a good thing when you live in a colder state, not to mention being out in over 100 degree heat while going through withdrawals. There was no cook at the facility and we had to make all our own meals. This was not mentioned in the brochure, or online. During my 3 week stay, one of the counselors I was assigned to was disorganized and fell asleep during my intake. His pupils were pinpoint and I told the owner I thought he was high. He had previously been addicted to heroin and was working as an intern. The next day we were told when he failed to show up that he had been in a motorcycle accident. One of the other patients wanted to visit him in the hospital and we were then told he was let go. Needless to say, I never did have my own counselor to work with so I was thrown in with anyone who had time for me, including the office lady who conducted the intakes but was not a counselor. They were so busy trying to move into a different facility that they had no time to concentrate on my recovery, and even said I would need to help move if it happened During my stay. The whole experience was terrible, and I think they should have refunded my money so I could have gone to a different rehab. I struggled with my addiction for 7 more years before finally getting help. I spent my last dime on going to that rehab and it's really a shame. They never checked up on me, not once until I wrote a review several years later. Even while I was in severe withdrawal , they summoned me into the office because one of my credit cards didn't go through and made me call the company to make sure my payment went through. I felt as though it was my $30k that was all that mattered, so they could make their down payment on the new location. What a waste of money. Had I gone to a better rehab, I would have not suffered another 7 yrs.

Some of the administration is too involved in the counseling aspect of treatment and she is not a counselor. The equine therapy is a joke. Their doctor (not on staff) prescribed me medicine and the owner questioned me about my appointment... There were two clients that were kicked out while I was there. ... It was not therapeutic at all. I had more stress in the facility than I did when I was using. It was a horrible rehab center. The administration and staff are very unorganized. ... It was not holistic in any way. ... I was not given the option of alternative medication for my anxiety. ... The equine center they send you to once a week is a joke. Completely unorganized and disgusting. The services the facility supposedly had were not included in my treatment.

Checking myself into Ranch Creek Recovery was the best decision I made. Not only did they address the addiction but the deeper reasons for the addiction. The facility is gorgeous and set in a private and serene area. I stayed close to 60 days and I was sad to leave. The staff is incredible and they have the BEST Dr. on staff. If I had a choice to go back for a few days just to be there, I would. I am healthy now and I am in mid-recovery. The IOP program is also excellent. I hope to always stay connected to RCR because the staff became family to me. They genuinely care and I would HIGHLY recommend RCR to anyone!!

Review from Rehabs.com

The program improved significantly since my first time in treatment. They have become much more organized and structured and have implemented a few new amenities I really enjoyed such as fitness trainer. New staff members since last stay are great. They conduct exceptional groups and kept me engaged the whole time.
