Rippling Waters Men’s Retreat is a 400-acre private sanctuary where a 12-acre lake, miles of forested trails, a serene lookout point, and equine-therapy horses invite stillness. Treatment goes beyond stopping behaviors: it helps men uncover negative coping mechanisms—trauma, anger, guilt, and shame—so lasting change can occur. Through presence, purpose, and connection with up to 9 men, healing becomes embodied, sustainable, and deeply personal over time.

Actively Participate in the Path Forward

Rippling Waters is for men willing to face themselves fully and commit to meaningful, lasting change. The approach is not a quick fix, and it is not for men who want someone else to manage their recovery or stop a behavior without understanding its underlying causes. Each personalized program requires honest reflection and personal accountability through licensed individual therapy sessions multiple times per week, group sessions, equine-assisted therapy, experiential work, SMART Recovery, and more.

Slow Down & Reflect at a Secluded Retreat

Rippling Waters’ half-mile driveway intentionally marks the threshold between the life a man has been living and the one he is about to face. Miles of trails invite walking and reflection, not as an escape, but as preparation. In the main house, men stay in shared bedrooms and benefit from access to fitness equipment, a rec room, a sauna, and massage therapy. A chef provides homecooked meals three times daily.

Leave with Support and a Sense of Purpose

As men prepare to leave treatment, they walk away with a sense of brotherhood and a clear path forward. The team helps each man line up next-step support, including referrals to trusted outpatient providers, therapists, and groups near home, so he isn’t left trying to figure it out alone. Rippling Waters remains a steady point of connection after discharge, offering ongoing check-ins and telehealth support when additional guidance is needed.

Dig Beneath the Surface with Multiple Modalities
Dig Beneath the Surface with Multiple Modalities
After assessing each man’s history, challenges, and goals, Rippling Waters crafts a one-of-a-kind plan using clinically-proven and holistic therapies. Men delve into their inner world in multiple ways: individual and group talk therapy, brainspotting to regulate the nervous system, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to process trauma, and ecotherapy to build presence through nature.
Develop Meaningful Connections with Loved Ones
Develop Meaningful Connections with Loved Ones
Change does not happen in isolation. Rippling Waters works closely with families and partners to help them understand the internal shifts occurring during treatment and how family dynamics can either support or unintentionally undermine growth. They offer family and couples sessions, and loved ones can stay in the on-site carriage house for brief, supportive visits.
Build Inner Strength Through Rituals
Build Inner Strength Through Rituals
At Rippling Waters, men take part in shared rituals that give recovery weight and direction. Alongside fishing and hiking, they may build a sweat lodge, burn a letter in a fire ceremony, or tie yarn linking their wrist to the men beside them—marking commitment, mutual accountability, and the truth that no man carries recovery alone.
Sharpen Self-Awareness through Equine Therapy
Sharpen Self-Awareness through Equine Therapy
At Rippling Waters, men work hands-on with powerful Friesian horses. Clients groom, lead, and interact with the horses, noticing how these animals mirror their energy and emotions. When a horse relaxes, steps back, or leans in, it gives immediate, honest feedback that helps men see their own patterns around trust, anxiety, anger, or disconnection.
