Of course previous students who did not work the program will find dissatisfaction. Sorensons is not a Club Med. it is a real life cause and effect classroom in every way. The staff are rough, believe in an honest days work and getting in touch with nature. Healing can take place. Former students that write negative reviews clearly whined, left early and are probably back to the same behaviors that got them there. My daughter was an avoider, runner and addict. It saved her life and finally held her accountable immediately for her choices. Growth has taken place. I am eternally thankful she had an opportunity to re-examine behaviors that would have led to little or no future. Cause and effect. Wish the facility was closer to a major airport. 3 hour drive from Salt Lake City.

Srs can be a helpful place to an extent. I was there for 18 months and yes it somewhat helped me but it also completely turned me into a different person. I genuinely do not recommend sending your child here if they have mental illness.

Review from Rehabs.com

We were at the end of the line with our daughter. I needed to find a place for her and I was out of options. Our situation was particularly difficult because she is a type 1 diabetic and we could not find many placs that were open to that. SRS has exceeded our expectations. The greatest asset is that she is not able to wear them down. We would get tired or frustrated and give up, but they have a fresh crew that comes in every 8 hours 24x7. Once our daughter figured out she was going to have to do it their way, she got with the program. She comes home soon after 8 months and we feel like we are getting our kid back. Hard, expensive, but worth it.
