About South Coast Behavioral Health - Oklahoma City
South Coast Behavioral Health’s inpatient facility in Oklahoma City helps people recover through research-based and holistic treatment that heals the physical, mental, and spiritual wounds of addiction. Patients receive customized treatment plans to help them reach their recovery goals using medical detox, intensive therapies, 12-Step meetings, and medication management for co-occurring disorders.
Experience a Person-Centered Approach
South Coast believes personalized treatment is essential for successful recovery, so they offer specialized medical care and a variety of therapies tailored to each patient’s needs. Individual therapy helps patients explore their thoughts and behaviors, safely process trauma, and identify any underlying issues contributing to their addiction. In group sessions, patients share experiences, offer support to others, and gain insights from other perspectives. Patients also engage in mind-body and creative therapies, and receive life skills training for employment, budgeting, stress management, and interpersonal communication.
Focus on Healing in a Safe Environment
Patients live in South Coast’s inpatient facility with peers in recovery, providing a distraction-free environment for sharing experiences. During detox and residential treatment, patients share their accommodations with another individual. With that being said, South Coast’s facilities are designed with generous space, ensuring each person’s comfort, privacy, discretion, and safety. Medical personnel are on-call around the clock, and the clinical team is on-site seven days a week.
Put Relapse Prevention Strategies in Place
South Coast ensures patients have the tools they need to stay sober after treatment. They encourage patients to transition into their day treatment or intensive outpatient program for continued care in early recovery. The team also provides connections to 12-Step or other recovery support groups, South Coast’s alumni network, and sober living to stay surrounded with others striving toward the same goal of long-term sobriety.
