New Haven’s Stabilization & Assessment program offers a specialized residential environment for adolescent girls ages 12-17 experiencing acute emotional distress or transitioning from hospital care. The program emphasizes creating a safe, nurturing space where individuals can stabilize and undergo a thorough psychological assessment, addressing issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-harm. Through a collaborative, family-inclusive approach, New Haven integrates parents into the healing process, ensuring both the individual and family receive support throughout. Treatment typically lasts 6-8 weeks and does not include schooling.

Each individual’s journey is guided by a licensed clinical psychologist who conducts comprehensive assessments, providing tailored insights into cognitive and emotional health to help shape individualized treatment plans.
