Review from Rehabs.com

My 23 year old son went to Stepping Stone last month and they detoxed him, kept him for 18 days and said that he was good to come home. He has been an alcoholic for years and he started drinking as soon as he got home. I don’t know how they could possibly think an alcoholic is ready to go out into the real world after 18 days. He’s worse now than he was before he got there. The staff is a joke!! His so called therapist had no knowledge about anything concerning his addiction. I understand an addict can’t be made to change but he was not given any tools or knowledge on how to handle what he was going to face when coming out of there. He drinks more now than he did before going in. They did ABSOLUTELY nothing for him but detox him and said he was ready to come home. This place is a joke all they did was take the insurance money which should be considered fraud since they did nothing to treat his problem!! They did pat themselves on the back for giving him an AA book for free and him not having to pay for it. My insurance payed for that book!! This place should be shut down!!

Nurturing environment. Allows room for growth. Experienced staff. Relaxed atmosphere. I never believed I could stop using. I now have 7.5 months clean and I owe a great part of my recovery effort and success to this treatment center. I never thought I could get clean in my home town; I have never felt more prepared or secure.
