Provider's Policy

Tamarack works with Tricare, Kaiser, First Choice Health, and Asuris for residential services. Some beds are state-funded through Washington’s Children’s Long-Term Inpatient Program (CLIP). Contact your insurer to confirm coverage and out-of-pocket costs.

Tamarack Center offers residential psychiatric treatment for adolescents ages 12 to 17 in a structured 16-bed facility. With 24/7 care, on-site schooling, and a high staff-to-resident ratio, the center supports teens experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal ideation, and other mental health challenges. The goal is to help youth stabilize and return to their communities with strength and hope.

Specialized Services and Evidence-Based Therapies

Each resident receives an individualized treatment plan shaped by a dedicated team of professionals. Teens participate in individual, family, and group therapy, medication management, and skill-building groups using eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Daily routines also include recreation therapy and schoolwork, promoting both emotional regulation and academic progress within a safe, healing environment.

Family Partnership and Everyday Life

Family involvement begins at admission and continues through weekly therapy, on- and off-site visits, and active participation in discharge planning. Teens bring personal items like clothes, hygiene products, and music players (without cameras), while the center provides essentials. With a balance of structure, safety, and warmth, residents experience a path to healing that feels both supported and empowering.
