I didn’t stay sober after I completed their program. I ask you who’s fault was that ? It certainly wasn’t theirs. I made the decision to pick up. They gave me direction, but I made a uturn. For a long time I had a resentment against Jack Smith. However all along the resentment was against myself. If you truly want sobriety, if you truly want recovery, if you are 100% done, then Jack Smith can give you the direction you need. For what he taught me I am truly grateful.

For me The Ed Keating Center, helped me save my life and marriage. It taught me what I need to do to get sober and stay sober. My sobriety date is Sept 9 2012. The Ed Keating Center showed me how to hold this date. They also gave me a place to lay my head down when nobody wanted me. It was literally the last house on the block for me. It was structured well for A community living environment. We kept it clean and taught how to be a productive member of society.

I do not recommend the Ed Keating Center to anyone. I attended the facility on the west side of Cleveland and it is more of a bootcamp for addicts than a rehabilitation center. You will be yelled at, talked down to and expected to work for the managers friends, all while giving 1/3 of your daily pay to the Ed Keating Center. Do not send your loved ones here unless you're truly desperate. There are much better and more qualified rehabs to go to. Good luck.

Review from Rehabs.com

I attended the Ed Keating Center and the entire experience was an absolute nightmare. ... Despite this, and my distaste for the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, which is what the treatment program at this center is based on, I will say that if one is desperate enough to do whatever it takes, this center's no-nonsense-approach to recovery can be helpful. It certainly made me get off my butt and start working to stay in recovery. The place is kept very clean, seeing as how as a resident you will clean your assigned area of the house three times a day. The food is subpar, but you are fed two decent sized meals a day, with pastries and fruit being available for the morning and most of the day. I cannot honestly recommend this facility to anyone...This is only a place to go if you are desperate for a place to "dry out," in my opinion. And in some ways it did help me start my road to recovery and I am thankful for that. ...
