The staff. The therapists are amazing. They know their stuff and are able to teach skills and explain the disease of addiction. They help you explore coping skills, treatment, and recovery. The staff really care about clients and want everyone to succeed. They focus on trauma and get down to the real issues(s) of why someone is acting out the way that they are. They work intensely with the individual and as a group. The therapist are trained in EMDR. There's equine therapy every week. UAC has a really good program and treats the root of the issue. They offer Aftercare also so that when you graduate the program you can come back to groups. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to get help with any addictions, depression, self harm, eating disorders, etc.

Review from Rehabs.com

My son stayed here for drug addiction treatment for approximately six weeks in 2015. I have nothing but praise and gratefulness for the people at this center. The counselors and staff were so down to earth yet very in tune to the needs of the people there. I felt like they did a good job providing an environment to keep my son safe to open up and face his own challenges yet did not "suffocate" him with rules and regulations. I visited him while he was there and the house is truly as nice as what you see in the pictures and they welcomed me to join the family discussion group. I was pleased that they were very willing to communicate with me while he was there. He is still doing well, is working full time 7 months after leaving and looking towards the future. They did bill my ins co. quite a bit but that's because the ins excludes nearly half of the charges. They have to get paid and have a right to bill just like any medical or treatment facility would. I know it will always be a lifelong process for him but I truly believe these people saved my son's life. He still uses some of the techniques they taught him. I highly recommend this center.

I love, love, love this Utah Addictions Center. The staff was super awesome to work with and I benefitted greatly from the treatment hat I received there. They were extremely helpful in individual and group sessions. I surprisingly loved equine and overcame my fear of horses. My individual therapist was incredibly intuitive to my needs and helped me overcome a lot of trauma from my past. Thanks to all the awesome staff at Utah Addiction Centers. I am super pleased with the treatment I received and would recommend to anyone seeking help.

they have a great team that complements each other's strengths and offers a diverse recovery for the client with their best interest at the core. A downfall was not enough time spent with the horses, the weather was a hindrance though. i did not care for the Sunday meeting either, my opinion though as i am not lds. this was not a legal condition for me, my choice to attend was simply a desire to get the help i needed. i was accepted with understanding and a team that was considerate of my situation and a desire to help. i was offered an opportunity and am grateful i chose uac to help me become sober again. thank you uac for all you do for the people you take in to help in their struggles.

The strength of UAC lies in its size. This allows staff and clients to really come to know what is needed and expected in order to heal. I would like to see a covered place for the horses. Because of the ongoing concern ... the entire staff have for each client, I knew I could rely on them when I found myself slipping in my addiction once I had gotten out. There was no judgment, and it was the perfect "tune-up" for me.
