I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the care and communication provided during my son’s stay at The Ridge – RTC in New Hampshire from April 27, 2025, to May When we entrusted your facility with our son’s care, we were assured he would receive a comprehensive treatment plan, consistent family communication, and access to specific therapies and educational services. Unfortunately, these assurances were not upheld. Communication throughout his stay was minimal. From the day of admission, we noticed inconsistencies between the policies outlined in the materials provided at check-in and the information we received via email from the onsite admissions/discharge department. Despite multiple attempts to clarify these discrepancies, we received no answers . Family phone calls were virtually nonexistent. Contrary to your flyer’s claim that 24/7. As a parent, it is incredibly distressing to feel left in the dark while your child is under someone else’s care . The lack of transparency and follow-through raises serious questions about the facility’s operations and accountability. I hope that your team will take these concerns seriously and take steps to ensure other families do not experience similar challenges.

My daughter was there for 3 weeks. They advertise that they will have 1 hour of schoolwork per day. My daughter did not have 1 hour of schoolwork the entire stay, even after I picked up work at school and drove 3 hours to give it to them to make sure she was getting ’some’ work done. She started coughing very shortly after arrival. She was given symptom management even after stating she was having trouble breathing. I asked for her to be checked (at an Urgent Care) and was told she was being monitored. By the time she was taken in (2 weeks later), she was dehydrated, fever, severe urinary tract infection causing her to be Med Flighted down to a hospital in Boston and admitted to their ICU. She required 3 IV antibiotics around the clock. The facility called and asked when she would be discharged. I assured them they did not need to worry. She will NOT be going back and she will be coming home with me.

Be very careful. The treatment that my son and I received during the intake/admission process was terrible. My son was admitted a few days ago, and within and hour, they called me to tell me that he had to be discharged and brought to a detox center before they would treat him because they thought he was having alcohol withdrawal. The nurse who contacted me refused to give us any recommendations to a local detox center, and we weren't familiar with any since we live out out of state. He basically just said that they do not get involved with detox referrals, and that we had 30 minutes to get him. I spoke with admissions the day before we arrived at the Ridge, and they informed me that if it was determined at the time of arrival that detox was needed then they would provide us with the place to go to before he was admitted. Instead, they admitted him, and had us say good bye to him, just to tell us an hour later that they were discharging him. It is very clear that the admission department and the medical team did not communicate with each other prior to my son's arrival, and the treatment that we received after driving 6.5 hours was beyond unprofessional. I would give this place a zero if I could.
