Review from Rehabs.com

Generally, we are very impressed with Rosecrance. Our 18 year old son admitted himself to Rosecrance Griffin for substance abuse and major depressive disorder. From a parent's perspective, the assessment, intake, and inpatient care was outstanding. We feel that the staff was highly competent and caring. Senior members of the medical team personally advocated for care that the insurance company wanted to deny. Our son emerged 'clean' and wanting to stay clean. However, as can be expected, the transition home has been tenuous, and he seems to be sliding backwards in terms of his depression, he is truly suffering. It is surprising to us that the discharge protocol doesn't involve any continuity of care, we essentially feel as though we have been cut off. Our son worked intensely with the same therapists every day, and although he sees a therapist back at home, we feel as though we are losing the benefit of the momentum he had while at Rosecrance, and that he is quickly sliding backwards. We have confidence in the team there, we just wish they would have stayed with us until we were out of the woods. A final thought...although we think continued support would help ensure a more successful recovery, THANK YOU to the staff at Rosecrance who helped our son.

Review from Rehabs.com

The staff and counselors were extremely kind, caring, and took pride in their jobs rather than for the money. There were 6 total patient groups in the facility(4 male groups and 2 female groups) and about 15 patients per group. Each grouo is kept seperate from the other to avoid mixing and to also prevent intimate relations between males and females. No smoking/tobacco products. Beautiful campus all in all. Facility is for adolcents 18 and under and they will work with the patients school to have work sent out and recieve credits while in treatment. About 2 hours of school monday-friday with an actual teacher who will work closely with each individual to ensure that effiecent help is provided.
