Set in the suburb of El Sobrante, La Cheim School provides a private education for children and adolescents in grades 6 to 12. This school program has mental healthcare support, learning disability support, and flexibility with students' individualized education plans (IEPs). La Cheim School serves students in San Francisco, Solano, Alameda, and Contra Costa Counties. Each classroom has a max of 12 students, plus staff trained on evidence-based interventions. La Cheim brings in social workers, outside therapists, group home staff, and advocates as needed so students have the right support.

For some students, La Cheim provides skills to return to local public schools and succeed in those schools. For others, they provide a full education and award either a high school diploma or a certificate of completion.
