Trauma
I was failed from start to finish, treated with disdain for being honest and expressing my feelings as I was encouraged to do, phase-mates lied about me and my actions to have me removed from the program and this was not addressed with me prior to discharge. Staff were verbally and emotionally abusive towards me for not trusting them but I don't trust anyone after surviving significant trauma that they are not equipped to deal with. I have been lied to and gas lighted by many members of staff during my time there and in my interactions following in an attempt to get a refund for my family. I left the program in worse condition than when I entered and was referred to a discharge program (Mosaic) that does not even exist anymore.

Review from Rehabs.com

Not only did I get misdiagnosed but they put me on meds that gave me PANIC ATTACKS. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, which I have, but turns out I have cyclothymia which even their precious little experts couldn't figure out. They took me off the only medication that has every worked for me for NO REASON and put me on a medication that is barely proven for anxiety or depression (and is mostly used for CATS). When I was getting more and more depressed and suicidal at the (and because of the) center and wanted to leave no one would listen to me and they all got angry at me whenever I tried to explain myself. They hold different patients to different standards which is so messed up and some of the staff are highly untrained and unprofessional (an untrained college student would sometimes watch us - he was 21). It felt like we were either being always watched or left completely alone. I went to bridges during one of the worst moments in my life, and experienced invalidation, coercion, and utter lack of respect and empathy, and attempted mind washing to believe that they have the power to fix everything. I had to stand up for other patients who were being treated poorly, and file multiple reports against mistreatment from the staff, and received "sorry you felt that way" instead of apologies. It is a beautiful place, and it is helpful to some people but they really think they are perfect for everyone and it seems to be all about the money. I wish I never went there.

Review from Rehabs.com

This should not be called a treatment center. You will find no treatment there. They have no professionals on stuff. What they have is recovering addicts running an aa program. I like how they keep saying ‘hurt people hurt people’ while putting people with anger issues to run this prison like system. The only therapy their ‘therapists’ know is the one that comes from aa books and they apply it to everybody regardless of their issues or beliefs. So I guess, it will work on some. Although if you are that lucky person who that program is helpful for, save your money, go to an aa meeting. As far as amenities go, you will find no luxury there, but the living conditions are ok. The food is horrible. All you get is a buffet of fast food with an iceberg lettuce station, which I guess is their claim to a healthy diet. The only variety you get there is a choice of toppings for your hamburger patty or if you are vegan, it’s just a choice of toppings.

If your a survivor of extreme trauma do NOT go to the bridge. The clinical staff is not experienced enough and the program needs to be evaluated. Harm was done!

Review from Rehabs.com

The Bridge has the beginnings of something great. They do not have a psychiatrist on staff. The Bridge unravels you and doesn't put you back together, unless of course you are able to afford staying at least 12 weeks. I can't imagine what percent of patients are able to. Understanding of trauma conceptually.
