The Maples provides care for teenage girls 13-18 who are struggling with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or eating disorders. If a residential level of care is recommended by a medical or mental-health professional, The Maples offers free screenings to help determine treatment plans for prospective patients. The center provides a structured, nurturing setting in which patients can heal and ultimately thrive. The Maples requires family involvement in treatment, therapy sessions, and aftercare plans to help ensure transparency.

Empowering, Evidence-Based Therapies

The Maples uses an array of evidence-supported therapies to treat patients in their recommended 60-day program. Motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and SMART Recovery are several of the research-backed interventions used in the recovery process. The center holds that using these therapies can unlock personal motivation for change and empower patients to develop a more positive lifestyle. Several innovative therapies are used in conjunction, such as yoga, equine therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and mindfulness training.

Structured and Nurturing Environment

In addition to the daily medical and psychiatric care patients receive, the center prioritizes time within patients’ days to complete schoolwork online. The Maples has on-site tutors to help with school and homework assignments. During down time, the girls are encouraged to develop friendships, apply their creativity through art or music and engage in outdoor physical activities. The staff at The Maples believes it is possible for their patients to leave with greater self-esteem and emotional regulation than when they arrived.

Our 13 year old daughter came to The Maples this summer. It was a life changing experience for our entire family. The compassion, experience, wisdom and skillset of the staff is unbelievable. I interviewed dozens and dozens of treatment centers before Maples and there is no comparison to this phenomenal group of people. The atmosphere has clear consistent boundaries, a lot of challenge and education for the entire family. The facility is clean, organized and uplifting. My daughter has never known this much growth and connection in her life. The skills they helped her find is staying with her even though life continues to throw her challenges.

I absolutely love the Maples! Now I am not gonna say this place is perfect because it is not. Only because it isn’t for everyone. The administration and therapist full hearted want each and every client to be their best self. They provide you with the tools to reach the highest level of success. Each therapy session we learn and grow helping lead to better confidence in recovery. If you are not willing to put in the work then don’t expect a full recovery. On your first day you get to put a hand print on the wall making you a forever family member. At the end of treatment and you get a successful discharge then you get to leave your final mark with a quote. The techs and nurses who you are with 24/7 are always willing to provide help when you aren’t being annoying. If you are gonna act up and do stupid things to try and get kicked out or just being immature of course the staff and other clients are gonna get aggravated. Each of these clients make an impact on you and help you grow. The facility is a home and is constantly working towards its best. You are allowed to give in input to help provide the best treatment. They listen and want the best for you. Please be aware there will be times you will absolutely hate it and want to leave but don’t let that discourage you. It is so worth it and the staff and clients still stay connected after treatment. Give it a chance I promise it helps in some way!

We love hearing about your treatment experience
