Provider's Policy

The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center works with all major private medical insurance networks. If you don’t have medical insurance coverage or elect not to use it, we have reasonable self-pay rates and options worth exploring. We regret that we cannot work with state or federal (Medicaid or Medicare) insurance for mental health treatment at SBMHC.

At Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center, people find hope and healing for challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and other mental health conditions. Offering day treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and optional sober living, the center meets clients wherever they are in their recovery journey. Their small, non-institutional, and focused approach gives clients the attention they need to feel truly seen.

Break Free by Healing on Every Level

Care is built on 5 distinct avenues of treatment that work together to support the whole person. Clinical therapy helps untangle the roots of mental health struggles, while medical oversight brings safety and balance. Emotional healing gives space to process pain, spiritual exploration offers meaning and purpose, and life-skills development equips clients to thrive in the real world.

Turn Hard Work into Bright Days

Clients spend their days in PHP or IOP programs, receiving expert mental health care, and can choose sober living housing if they want added support after hours. The environment is designed to feel welcoming and human—not like a hospital. Weekly outings, like beach days under the Florida sun or summer movie nights, bring lightness and connection into the recovery journey.

Build Strength beyond the First 90 Days

Finishing a 90-day program is a huge accomplishment—but it’s really just the beginning. At Sylvia Brafman, each person leaves with a personalized plan that can include therapy, support groups, medication management, and regular check-ins with professionals. The goal is simple: to keep the progress going strong and make daily life feel more manageable, one step at a time.

Review from Rehabs.com

My experience at The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center can only be summed up in one word. MIRACLE. I went in bratty, narcissistic, addicted, and full of self-hate. After my 90 days, I am a completely transformed new person. I've found meaning in life for the first time. Sylvia Brafman taught me how to use coping skills and break unhealthy habits emotionally and physically. With a fully rounded curriculum, Sylvia Breman educates you all day long. With both mental health and addiction groups, and personalized one-on-one times with a therapist, you create a program that perfectly fits your needs. Michael runs informative biopsychosocial board groups all day long along with process groups each day. Which is easily explained as a peer group to share how you feel and what you’re going through. Alex, Tyrone, and Vinny come in for specialized, personalized therapy, in both a group setting and one-on-one. Behind the scenes Jessica, Lucia, and Valeska run the day-to-day operations and keep everything going smoothly. Ben and Jamie are magic in their specialties and help create this atmosphere that you want to have. I am forever grateful for what I’ve learned and who I have become thanks to Sylvia Brafman.

The Sylvia Brafman center has been instrumental in helping me overcome my mental health issues. All of the staff are very supportive and care is tailor made to the individual client. My experience here has been unlike any other of the facilities I have been to - not only will they look for ways to make you better in the most efficient way possible , they will also work to identify where you struggle and help the clients understand the purpose behind the treatment. Thank you to Jamie and Ben for establishing such a bona fide successful place of healing- I hope that other mental health and addiction facilities can learn from what you have accomplished .

This is a fantastic facility for those suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental distresses. There are a number of perspectives on mental health covered in their program. The concepts are presented by psychologist, psychiatrist and people who have studied or even suffered from mental distress. They also provided a structured guide through some fairly complex topics, and it is found to be the most beneficial part of the program. Far as the housing absolute warm welcoming from their staff even though you're not at home they ensure to make you feel at home very helpful and understanding. What a extra hand with treating your mental allow them to be that hand Superb facility

SB is an unbelievable treatment center. I would recommend this facility to anybody struggling with addiction and mental health. This program is strong for substance use treatment but it is rare to find such high quality treatment at this level of care for mental health as well. SB has a great clinical program with an innovative and creative approach to treatment. The sober living is also state of the art and the staff from the top down are excellent in creating a comforting and inclusive environment to people who come in to treatment really struggling.

When I arrived at Sylvia Brafman last year in July; I just assumed it was going to be like the last 7 treatment Centers all of which were in my hometown. Let me tell you, this was not the case. I have almost 7 months now and its the tools that i learned from the classes that I didn't get before. For example, codependency.. In addition to be kind and to love myself. Ben and staff thank you 🙏 again for the care love and support that you all have givin to me. God bless you ALL in the New Year Regards, Melissa

We love hearing about your treatment experience
