About Denver Wellness Associates
The team at Denver Wellness Associates (DWA) consists of physicians, psychiatrists and licensed counselors who can provide guidance, treatment and referrals for each patient’s unique mental health needs. The providers create a treatment plan, which can consist of medication management, counseling, genetic testing, mental health testing, or even innovative therapies such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Spravato/ketamine treatment. DWA has two locations in Colorado.
What They Treat
The most common concerns treated at DWA include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, stress, self-esteem, gender identity, PTSD, and sleep disturbances. Denver Wellness does not address or treat substance use disorders, major mental illness, or pain management. Because DWA offers limited counseling services in their office, they will refer clients to reputable and trusted therapists in the area as needed.
Innovative Therapies and Strategies for Mental Health
For patients who experience frustration due to medications that don’t work, DWA offers genetic testing. Genetic testing helps to identify which medications and dosages could more effectively work on a cellular level for patients. DWA also offers TMS for patients with medication-resistant depression or anxiety. They also provide ketamine or Spravato treatments for treatment-resistant disorders. Both of these treatments work to “change the channel” on unwanted thoughts and feelings rather than “turn down the volume” like other medications. DWA is considered in-network for most insurance companies on the market.
