Building Habits And Skills For Recovery

Victoria Wellness focuses on building lasting skills that help clients handle mental health issues long after treatment. One of these habits and skills includes physical activity, which they prioritize in the afternoons. Some of their fun activities include kayaking, hiking, time in the gym, basketball, and tennis. Evenings at Victoria Wellness have additional therapeutic sessions, which build upon morning treatments to pave the best path to success. Throughout clients’ stay, they’ll also enjoy nutritious meals catered to the dietary needs or restrictions they may have.

Sober Fun And Restorative Amenities

Victoria Wellness Centre prioritizes fun onsite and offsite. On-site, clients will enjoy a pristine pool, calming labyrinth, Reiki sessions, fishing and boating, and paddle boards. Victoria Wellness’ lake-side location provides plenty of relaxing, fun activities to enjoy throughout clients’ stay. Off-site, clients take trips to ski mountains, hiking trails, golf courses, and a nearby farm. All their fun activities work to promote the idea and fact that sober living can be enjoyable–more so than the brief pleasure that addictive substances provide.

Joe Ann, Jorma and Antoinette along with their amazing professionals, teachers and night staff made my 6 week in-house stay at Victoria Wellness an absolute pleasure. Everyone catered so remarkably well to my various needs, while ALWAYS doing it with a smile and positive attitude. Whether it was in depth discussions about CBT & DBT with Andrea and Roisin respectively, or the many other staff providing valuable life lessons, it was easy to be engaged and appreciative. I would like to single out "Dr. Phil" for his amazing "dolphin" sessions, and Lisa for her awesome deep massages. Every single meal provided by the chefs was a good / great one, and fortunately there was often some extra portions available if needed! We had several enjoyable group hikes and bonfires that were good fun, while the expansive grounds provided a lot of space for some more casual meetings and wonderful views of the adjacent and beautiful Rice Lake. Additionally there were many games available such as pool, table tennis and bocce ball etc. that were great fun. I would encourage others in possible to go and have a viewing of the facilities if you can, but if this is not possible, then view the website and give Victoria Wellness a callIt was an A+ stay for me!
