About Xplore Recovery
Xplore Recovery treats substance addictions and co-occurring mental health conditions in an intimate riverside campus. Their residential center overlooks the Ocoee river and welcomes just 30 clients at a time for a more personalized experience. They incorporate regular adventure therapies into treatment to comprehensively address addiction, co-occurring conditions, and co-occurring trauma.
Multidisciplinary Staff and Group Therapy
XploreRecovery’s staff includes a clinical director, therapists, an adventure coordinator, behavioral health technicians, a yoga teacher, health coach, executive chef, and a river adventure guide. Together, staff focus on personalized treatment and individualized care. Their integral treatment model combines science, mindfulness, art, sociology, anthropology, and therapeutic approaches into a unique plan tailored to each client. Clients attend regular group therapies to bond with peers and strengthen their recovery. Group topics include problem-solving, peer support, psychoeducation, and interpersonal skills development.
Evidence-Based Therapies for Dual-Diagnosis Recovery
Xplore Recovery provides a wide range of evidence-based therapies in group, 1:1, and family settings. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), in addition to experiential options. Clients regularly meet with the same individual therapist throughout treatment. Their holistic therapies include yoga, sound baths, art therapy, and breathwork.
Adventure Therapy Focus
Xplore Recovery offers a unique setting for recovery. Their adventure staff lead clients on adventure therapies, including hiking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, ziplining, mountain biking, and other seasonal activities. Their cabin-like facility has semi-private rooms, indoor/outdoor lounge areas, a large fire pit, and peaceful nature views.
Most days at Xplore Recovery feature some sort of supervised, organized adventure. Clients can expect to kayak on the Ocoee River at least once a week in the warmer months. Clients are also allowed ample free time and can experience other activities throughout the facility.
